Books upon books, you really have to fight when bargaining however or they'll get the best of you. They copy books too however so please if you are shopping, try to support used original copy books as that supports the authors!

One of the biggest book market in Bangladesh. This place is situated nearby Dhaka University, Dhaka College, Home Economics College, Eden College and Most popular “Dhaka New Market”. The transportation system is easy for all. Nilkhet area is one of the busiest area in Dhaka city. People can purchase all kind of book from this place.

Though this place is very congested but has lots of individual shop by book types. In this place everyone can purchase board text book, university’s book, recharge aid book, journals, academic and non academic as well as science to literature all types are available here. This place is also popular for old or secondhand and non used old books; people can purchase old books by its ¼ original price. In my point of view I would like to suggest people who want buy books from this place to be sure about what is the actual price of this book and commission.

There have a commission system based on publication. Usually 10 - 30% is given. In Nilkhet book market people also purchase all kind of stationery goods like paper, pen, pencil, office goods and academical educational equipment. Medical book’s stole are situated in front of bakusha market.

Great place to buy books and stationary in cheap price. But don't forget to bargain hardly. And remember MRP is a just just a number there. For example, you can buy 700-800 rupee books at 180-220. So, Don't fall in scam if you are foreigner, though Bangladeshis are not prone to scam. Happy reading.

    FAVORITE PLACE IN DHAKA
Finding book stores in Dhaka is no easy feat and Nilkhet is heaven for someone looking for a book store. Now keep in mind that 99% of the books available there are either fake or text books but then you find these gems of stores that sell original first editions and you get these INCREDIBLE finds.

Well, a great place for both new and old books (you could find some pretty rare ones if you look hard enough) at an affordable price, but you have to be at least a runner-up in the World Bargaining Championship tournament. You have to bring your a game, get in the seller's mind and manipulate him to submit to your demand. The world's a battleground, and this place is one of those where you really feel that.

Nilkhet book market needs no explanation as everybody knows very well about the market. But those who does not know, It is book market. You can get books of any subject in here. there are hundreds of book store inside the market. This market is particularly helpful to students. Specially Medical, Engineering and University students. You can easily get cheap photocopy print of original international books. But it is not a great place to buy original copy of foreign books. You can also get magazines, papers, all writing and printing instruments under the same roof. This market is just beside new market and communication is very easy from any part of Dhaka city.

Along with local and international books and publications Nilkhat is famous for low priced printing, photocopying, stationery and educational materials. There are 2500 book stalls in this market. Everyday about 15-20 thousand students come here to fulfill their needs.

This market is divided into two parts; the book section and the print section. Print section’s weekly holiday is on Friday and the book section’s holiday is on Tuesday. Huge quantities of books and publications have been distributed around the country from here. This is the target market of students from low and middle class families.
