As first sight its good, i went there for know the glaucoma operation cost. Helpdesk inform that for normal ward it cost about 1800tk for 2 days staying. And for cabin about 3500tk with 2 days staying. Indian lens is free but other have to purchase by patient.

One of the largest specialized hospital for opthalmology and eye care. It's a government owned hospital as such the costs are reasonable. However you have to wait in long queues. The place is also very crowded specially between 8 am to 2 pm when doctors consultation takes place. You have to buy tickets for consultation which is near to the reception area. There is also a information desk. Emergency services is also available at this hospital. Large parking is available at the basement of the hospital and also ample of space at the hospital compound for parking cars.

Hospital is good but very poor management. As a eye hospital it should be more neat and clean. Doctors should be more cooperative and sincere. Most of the middle class patients are come for better service.

This is a government eye hospital which is best so far of eye related disease and treatment. Recently it has expanded 250 bed hospital. All the doctors are very good and specialist. Also there is a scope of further study of Post Graduate Diploma on eye as well as different training.

This is the only Ophthalmology Institute in Bangladesh. Big facility with several different types of services. But like any other government institutions in Bangladesh, this place also have slow service, inpatient staff, dirty floors, dirty rooms, doctors are not cordial, horrible management, long queue and a lot of areas of improvement. Management should look into establishing a proper credible management system here.

National Institute of Ophthalmology as” Health Bulletin”.National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital is the apex Institute of ophthalmology in the country, established in 1978 and expanded to 250 beds in 2006. The institute is serving as an academic institute for Post graduate study in ophthalmology, tertiary service hospital for management of ocular diseases.The director of the institute is also the Line director of “National Eye Care” and working for the implementation of national blindness program throughout the country.This is a teaching institute and young medical graduates are trained here on different courses ( MS, FCPS, DO etc). There are 10 sub-specialty departments in the institute e.g. Cataract, Ophthalmology, Cornea, Glaucoma, Vitreo retina, Neuro Ophthalmology, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Community Ophthalmology, Oculoplasticy and Low vision services equipped with modern investigation tools, equipments and trained human resources serves as the center of excellence in eye care in Bangladesh and hopefully it will become one of the best centers in this region in near future. The prevention of Blindness Program in Bangladesh “ National Eye Care” is also one of the major program we have. Under NEC we have trained ophthalmologists of district hospitals on SICS, Paediatric eye care and retinal diseases, continuous training of the nurses and PEC workers are held and CME programs are undertaken. Regular outreach camps are arranged to reach the under-served and unreached marginalized population. With quality of eye care service, appropriate planning of eye care and development of a new generation of skilled dedicated manpower we hope to achieve Vision 2020 goal by 2020. Good physicians with excess workload and worst service experience in recent years. Toilets are dirty & poorly maintained. Today I paid for 3 tests at 10 am, and only managed to get 1 test done. Very dissatisfied with overall service

Very good Eye care at a very minimal cost. A very good one initiative of Government. Healthcare is open for all. The Doctors here are Very Experienced no doubt. They provide the best care for everyone. Here first one have to buy a ticket from counter of 10 tk. For Male and Female lines are separate. After taking ticket s/he will have go to another room, there Doctor will check him/her and then if needed then s/he will be advised to go to another room for further check up.
