The Mainamati War Cemetery (alternatively: Comilla War Cemetery) is a war cemetery and a memorial in Comilla, Bangladesh, for Second World War graves from nearby areas during the Second World War. The cemetery contains 736 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War. It was established and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in World War II. It is situated in the Comilla Cantonment Area.

১ দিনে ঢাকার আশেপাশে যাদের ঘোরার ইচ্ছে , পোস্টটি মূলত তাদের জন্য । সকাল ৬.৩০ বাসা থেকে বেরিয়ে সোজা পরোটার দোকানে বিল আসলো ২৫ টাকা । এর পর সোজা সুজি সায়দাবাদ বাস স্টানে । ধানমণ্ডি থেকে ভাড়া নিল ১৫ টাকা । ডানে বায়ে কোথাও না তাকিয়ে Trisha Poribohon এর দিকে দিলাম ছুট । অনেক বলে কয়ে পার পারসন ভাড়া ঠিক হলো ১৪০ করে । এর পর বাসে একটা শান্তির ঘুম । ঘুমটা জরুরি কারন এর পরেই অপেক্ষা করছে আডভ্যঞ্চার । সকাল ৮.০০ টার মধ্যে বাসে উঠতে পারলে আপনি কুমিল্লা পৌঁছে যাবেন ১০.৩০ এর মধ্যে । আপনাকে ঠিক নামতে হবে ক্যান্টনমেন্ট বিশ্ব রোডে ।
এবার হাতের বাম দিকে ১২ মিনিট হাটলেই চোখে পরবে " Maynamati War Cemetery " । এখানে শায়িত রয়েছে দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের নিহতদের কবর । অসাধারন সুব্দর জায়গা । মনটা ঠাণ্ডা হয়ে যাবে । এটি খোলা থাকে সকাল ৭.০০ - দুপুর ১১.৪৫ আবার দুপুর ২.০০ টা - বিকাল ৫ টা পর্যন্ত । এখানে ছেলে মেয়ে একা ঘুরা ফিরা করা নিষেধ :) । ১ ঘণ্টা কাটিয়ে ১২ টার দিকে রওনা দিবেন রানী ময়না মতির প্রাসাদের দিকে। ভাড়া ১০ টাকা । এটিও অনেক সুন্দর জায়গা ।

১৯৪১-১৯৪৫ সালের ২য় বিশ্বযুদ্ধে নিহত ৭৩৭ জন সৈনিকের সমাধি ক্ষেত্র ময়নামতি ক্যান্টনমেন্ট, সেনাবাহিনী দ্বারা পরিচালিত। সর্ব সাধারনের জন্য উন্মুক্ত এই স্থানটি নয়নাবিরাম। সবুজ বনানী আর ফলে ফুলে ভরা বাগানও বিশাল আকারের স্তম্ভ। আচর্য ও লক্ষণীয় বিষয় এই যে, বেশির ভাগ সৈনিকের বয়স ছিল ২০ থেকে ২২ বছর। জীবনের শুরুটা যখন ঠিক তখনই যুদ্ধে মহীয়ান বীর সৈনিক।

Mainamati war cemetery that is run by Commonwealth. It is near on camillus electrode and that is far from 7 km from my name of the cantonment. There are several type of grape in this place like British Muslim and Japanese grave. This place mainly open from 8 a.m. to 12 P.M And this place is very neat and clean, near about 736 Grave is here. Locally it's called English kabarastan.

This is a wonderful place. Although it is a graveyard of the fallen British soldiers of the World War II, it is a soothing place for the visitors.

Neat and clean but people are not clearly aware about this place,,sometimes they don't give respect to this place,as this is a graveyard. As this place is maintained by comilla cantonment and army Bangladesh. In my view, 2 army person all the time at that place will be a great addition to this place for guiding visitors. so that people who visit there get the proper instruction and guidance to know the history and to maintain the proper respect.

War cemetery is a beautiful place ,it is situated in comilla- sylhet highway, beside Comilla CMH gate 2..Soldiers of Commonwealth war was buried here.
