Monihar movie theatre or simply the Monihar is one of the biggest and finest movie theatre located at Jessore district of Bangladesh. Monihar was launched on 8 December 1983. It is very popular because of its construction style. Film lovers from different countries of the world including Japan, Korea, Africa, Australia, Russia and England came to watch movies.

Pride of jessore as the biggest hall of the country.
But now its not so comfortable to watch movies in here.
because the projection quality and sound is not that much good.
But still its a good place for hanging around with friends
Luckily i got one chance to watch the film monpura in that theater and it was not so bad experience.

The film is shown on a large screen through a movie projector of the movie. Visitors of the auditorium in front of the screen enjoy the movie. Film conversations, sounds, and music are served on several wall presses or speakers placed on the wall. Since the 1970s, the use of sub-Ufa type wordpresses for the words of lower frequencies is used. In the decade of 2010, digital film projection technology is being used in most movie theaters. As a result, the need for creating and displaying huge relay films is gone.

Once, Monihar Cinema hall was treated as Precious crown of Jessore. It was the biggest cinema hall in Bangladesh once. Now, it has only its legacy behind. Nonetheless, it offers few quality movies now a day publishes. Interior is comfortable and gorgeous.

One of the ancient and famous movie theater in Bangladesh. That time lot of good quality cinema halls were available throughout the country. Amongst those the Monihar Cinema Hall (মনিহার সিনেমা হল) was the largest one. Not sure whether it is still the largest one from Bangladesh or not, but it was that time. It was one of the most posh cinema hall of that time.
It was built during 1984 (more than 30 years from now) by someone named Sirjul Islam (সিরাজুল ইসলাম). It is a four stored cinema hall having around 1500 seats. They owner circulated an advertisement on paper by asking a beautiful name for his new cinema hall. And they have chosen the name Monihar (মনিহার).response / report this review -

One of the famous & old movie theater of the country. Once also called the largest movie theater of the Bangladesh.Monihar Cinema Hall (মনিহার সিনেমা হল) was the largest one. Not sure whether it is still the largest one from Bangladesh or not, but it was that time. It was one of the most posh cinema hall of that time.
