Michael Madhusudan Dutta was a popular 19th-century
Bengali poet and dramatist. He was a pioneer of Bengali drama. His famous work Meghnād Bôdh Kāvya, is a tragic
epic. It consists of nine cantos and is exceptional in Bengali literature both in terms of style and content. He also wrote poems about the sorrows and afflictions of love as spoken by women.response / report this review -

There is a primary school inside the premises.
You have to go down from the main road and go deep through the villages to reach here.
When it's overcrowded, the main buildings and museum sometimes remain under lock and key.
The famous Kapotakkho Nod is also not visible in it's old beauty as the poet described in his time. Still people often come to visit this historic place from far away.response / report this review -

It's a historical place of Michael Madhusudan Duttas' childhood.
Here have her bedroom uses appliances and her father and grandfathers' home and lifestyle accessories.
Here's entry process by ticket. This place is so prevail and nice. Here have some building of Modhus' fathers' and a big pond around overhead by bigger trees 😍.response / report this review -

It’s a nice place to visit. There is a small museum with different things which they used back in the days.
Nothing much to see except for the buildings. There’s a pond.

Historically renowned place, was renovated and excavation was done during 1999-2001. Most of the rooms are under lock and key. Some are open and displayed for the visitors. Has a library which sells Bangladesh archaeological publications. Has a parking place, you can park cars as well as motorcycles. You have to take tickets to enter.

Michael Madhusudan Dutta was a popular 19th-century Bengali poet and dramatist. He was a pioneer of Bengali drama. His house located in Sagodari village under Jessore zila, Khulna, Bangladesh. his house is known as Madhupolli to local people. Many collections of the Michael's era is collected in the house. Natural beauty of the house can enamored everyone. Wheelchair accessable enterance & parking available here. Visiting fee only 15 taka & accept cash only. No wifi zone is present here. University student's, couples, foreigners come here all the times.Very good place for hang out with family members.

Great place for visiting. He was a great poet of Bengal. He brought Sonet in Bengali literature. He was son of Zamindar. He lived a luxury life in Versai, France at that period. His contribution in literature influences Bengali people still today. Unfortunately, his life ended up in a sorrowful way due to his lifestyle. His generation Leander Peas, a great Indian Tennis player lives in Kolkata. This place is situated in Jessore district in recent Bangladesh.

This is the birth place of Michael Madhusudan Datta.Michael Madhusudan Datta was a great poet of Bengali literature. He was born here in 1824 A.C. He was the heroic person in Jashore history. He wrote sonnet at first in bengali literature for that reason he is known as father of sonnet in Bengali literature.He was the first modern poet in bengali.This place is adjust with him very tightly.

Dutta is widely considered to be one of the greatest poets in bengali literature and the father of the Bengali sonet. He pioneered what came to be called Amitrakshar chhanda. Although his first love remained poetry, Dutt showed prodigious skill as a playwright. He was the first to write Bengali plays in the English style, segregating the play into acts and scenes. He was also the pioneer of the first satirical plays in Bengali – Buro Shaliker Ghare Rnow (Bengali - বুড়ো শালিকের ঘাড়ে রো) and Ekei Ki Boley Sabyota (Bengali - একেই কি বলে সভ্যতা?)".

An amazing place and definitely a travel goal! The historical value of the place, the memoirs of the poet, the grandeur and royalty of the zamindar house is sure to ogle anyone.
