মহাস্থানগড় জাদুঘর।ভিতরে তো ঢুকে দেখিনি।অনেকেই বললো দেখার মতো তেমন কিছু নেই।ইতিহাসের ছাত্র যারা তাদের কাছে আগ্রহ জাগানিয়া হলেও আমার মতো প্রকৃতিপ্রেমী মানুষের পুরানা ইট কাঠের ধ্বংসাবশেষ দেখতেই প্রাণ হাঁপিয়ে উঠে যেখান সেখানে আবার বিশ টাকা খরচ করে কাঁচের আড়ালে রাখা কোন সে কবের কিসব দেখে চোখের শ্রান্তি বাড়াবো কোন দুঃখে, ভাই।তবে মিউজিয়ম যেহেতু সেহেতু প্রাচীন ইতিহাস আর আমাদের এই জনপদের কোন সূত্রের টান তো থাকতেই পারে।অতদূর যাবেন আর এইটুক না দেখে চলে আসবেন? ঘুরেই আসুন।

site museum, which is open Sunday to Thursday summer:10 am to 6 pm, winter:9 am to 5 pm. Recess:1–2 pm, Friday recess is from 12.30 to 2.30, opens at 9 am in summer, other timings same. Mahasthangarh museum is located at the Mahasthangarh of Shibganj of Bogra. It’s just 15 kilometer apart from the main town. You can reach there using any publicly available vehicles. The museum is profound with numerous objects (status, coins, weapon, etc.) those are found after the excavation from the archaeological spots around the Mahasthangarh.

Nicely organized museum with good maintaining. Happy to see it.

But for winter season, from November to March, you have tp go there before 5 pm, because it closed at 5 pm on that period of year.

Its a historical place in Bogra. The whole boundary covers the ancient city.It feels great to imagine that Bangladesh was that much developed that time that they can build a city like this. There is a magical well where the dead becomes alive though the well is dead now itself. Just come to BOGRA city and u can simply find CNG to go there directly. You can visit the museum also which is quite good. I never found the place crowded.Its a peaceful place for me.

I just love the place. This is one of the best historical place in Bangladesh. If you want to visit, it's not difficult. First of all you need to come at bogra city and then there are plenty of options but the easiest way is that you will find CNG taxis which is cheap and convenient. Usually this place is not crowded and pretty much beautiful. The sight scene from the top is very amazing. You will definitely like it. Thank you.

please , don't forget to see the wells , where dead became alive after throwing their body inside the wells . And figure out , how the magical power of the wells are destroyed .best place if you are a history lover. The whole rocks are just the boundaries of the main city..so keep guessing how beautiful the city was !! Ignore if you don't like historic beauty

Mahasthangarh is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in Bangladesh. The village Mahasthan in Shibganj thana of Bogra District contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara or Paundravardhanapura in the territory of Pundravardhana. A limestone slab bearing six lines in Prakrit in Brahmi script, discovered in 1931, dates Mahasthangarh to at least the 3rd century BC. The fortified area was in use till the 18th century AD.
