Lalbagh Govt. Model School And College is one of the best school in Lalbagh and Kamrangirchar area. Students can study here from 1 to 12 class. The teaching faculty are experienced and helpful for the students. And the institution is being governed by the direct supervision and patronization of the honorable secretary, Ministry of Education.

Lalbagh Government Model School and College has been moving ahead with reputation from the very beginning in 2007. This is a specialized institution which is being governed by the direct supervision and patronization of the honorable secretary, Ministry of Education. The members of the governing body include the honorable DG of DSHE, two joint secretaries from Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Public Administration respectively. The governing body also includes the honorable chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. Though Lalbagh Government Model School and College is situated beside the historic Lalbagh Kella, its surrounding areas are not much developed, well-educated. Most of the people are businessmen and they do not give importance on educating their children as they think the children will run their business in future. Lalbagh Government Model School and College has been trying to motivate the parents, and especially mothers are being invited and “Ma Shamabesh” is regularly held which has become a phenomenon here. It has been changing the previous situation and we are proud of telling that with the great care and guide of the quality, meritorious teachers trained from home and abroad, we have achieved 100% pass in public examinations, such as, in PEC, JSC, SSC and HSC. Apart from these, we have success in sports nationally. Co-curricular activities, Cub, Scouts, Rover and Girls guide, English Language Club also help students acquire knowledge practically. Every year there is an arrangement for study tour both for those students who get GPA-5 and for other students. Besides regular CT exams, Special classes and Model Tests are arranged here for weak students, and examinees of PEC, JSC, SSC, HSC by the mutual understanding with guardians. To keep pace with the modern technological world, Lalbagh Government Model School and College has already started multi-media classes, online result publication and from the year 2017 we have included Bio-metric attendance and auto notification system, the absent students’ guardians receive instant message. Now, any person from any corner of the world will be able to know about Lalbagh Government Model School and College within seconds, students find their results in the website easily staying anywhere. As a principal, I believe no institution can rise up without the cooperation from the governing body, teachers and staffs, guardians, above all, all the others concerned. I specially congratulate the honorable Prime Minister, Education Minister, the Secretary, the members of Governing Body, guardians, teachers, students and all the concerned on being a government college from 18/09/2017. Lalbagh Model School and College is situated in the historical Lalbagh area connected with the reminiscence of Shahestha Khan, and Shah Suja. The Misnistry of Education of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has established eleven Model School and Colleges including five in Dhaka Mahanagori. The institutions cost Tk. 114 crore by its own financing from the government, and Lalbagh Model School and College is one of them. With its all modern facilities, the institution has earned fame within a short time from 2007 when it started functioning.

Historical place with commercially important . lot of old building and narrow road . lots of traffic . people are helpful . mostly used for recruitment exam . electronics device are prohibited to use . teachers are friendly but strict to their rules. high security system . result of school good.
