Kodala Tea Estate
A tea estate is always a nice place to visit. Kodala tes estate is not an exception.
A tea plant will grow into a tree of up to 16Â m (52Â ft) if left undisturbed, but cultivated plants are generally pruned to waist height for ease of plucking. Also, the short plants bear more new shoots which provide new and tender leaves and increase the quality of the tea.
The tea estate was established by British in 1894. Presently, its ownership belongs to BRAC. Total area of the tea estate is around 2500 acres.
