♥স্কুলটি Kazim Ali Master এর নামকরণ করা হয়, যিনি 185২ সালের 11 আগস্ট জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি "শেখ-ই-চ্যাটগাম" নামে পরিচিত ছিলেন।

1836 খ্রিস্টাব্দে ব্রিটিশ সরকার বর্তমানের ভাষাগুলিকে ইংরেজির মাধ্যমে শিক্ষা খাতে স্থানান্তর করে। হিন্দু সম্প্রদায় এই স্বাগত জানায় যখন মুসলমানদের ইংরেজি অগ্রাহ্য, ঐতিহ্য প্রতিস্থাপন বিকল্প বিপজ্জনক চিন্তা। ফলস্বরূপ, হিন্দু ও মুসলিম ছাত্রদের মধ্যে ধর্মীয় বৈষম্যের কারণে স্কুলগুলিতে খুব অল্প সংখ্যক মুসলমান ছাত্র পাওয়া যায়।

মুসলমান সম্প্রদায়ের এই অনুভূতি কিছু প্রগতিশীল মানুষ অসন্তুষ্ট কিছু করেছেন। কাজেই তারা কাজি আলী মাস্টারসহ কী করতে হবে তা নিয়ে ভাবতে শুরু করে। 1885 সালে, [2] "শেখ-ই-চ্যাটগাম" নামে একটি স্কুল প্রতিষ্ঠা চট্টগ্রাম মধ্য ইংরেজি স্কুল। 1886 সালে এটি একটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় হয়ে ওঠে। 196২ সালে কাজিম আলী মাস্টারের মৃত্যুর পর, স্কুলটি Kazim Ali High School নামে পরিচিত ছিল।

This school, named after Kazem Ali who was known as Sheikh-e-Chatgam, was established by himself as Chittagong Middle English School in 1885. Later it was renamed as Kazem Ali High School in his honor. Now it has college section also.
