Kantanagar Temple, commonly known as Kantaji Temple or Kantajew Temple (Bengali: কান্তজীউ মন্দির) at Kantanagar, is a late-medieval Hindu temple in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. The Kantajew Temple is one of the most magnificent religious edifices belonging to the 18th century. The temple belongs to the popular Hindu Kanta or Krishna and this is most popular with the Radha-Krishna cult (assemble of memorable love) in Bengal. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Krishna and his wife Rukmini. Built by Maharaja Pran Nath, its construction started in 1704 CE and ended in the reign of his son Raja Ramnath 1722 CE, during the reign of his son Maharaja Ramnath. It boasts one of the greatest examples on terracotta architecture in Bangladesh and once had nine spires, but all were destroyed in an earthquake that took place in 1897.

Kantajeu Temple is one of the magnificent shrine of Hindus. It's a shrine of 'Kanta' or 'Krishna' which was build at 18th century. Almost whole of the temple build by 'Terracotta' . It's such a Beautiful place.

A historical temple with a significant tourism value. A national heritage site of Bangladesh which is very famous to many people of other countries. A hindu temple of God Vishnu who is also named Kantajeu. The temple is very rich with Teracotta which is a very precious form of ceramic art in this area. This is why the temple is so much popular & valuable to everyone.

if you want to relive some mythological moments this place is a must visit. you wont regret here. you will surely feel lost in the terracotta of Ramayana era and their stories told by the walls in this temple. you must visit this place in the fair times which is in november and this place is really good for taking photos.

The new addition is the world class rest house will offer you the facility of Ac &a non Ac suit, in addition to that you'll get parking facility. Undoubtedly you can select this area as one of the best picnic spots in Dinajpur.
