The oldest school in Khulna division. Second oldest school in Bangladesh. Established in 1838 by Sir J Smith. To study in this school, you need to pass the admission test. This school provides education for primary and secondary level at class three (lll) to ten (x). There are two shifts "Morning & Day". Each class of two shifts have two sections "A & B". Over 2000 students study here. Including the Head Master 52 qualified teachers teach here. This school has 2 ponds; 1 mosque; health clinic; auditorium; 1 bicycle garage; 1 big teacher's room; 1 book library; ICT, Physics, Biology & Chemestry lab; over 10 multimedia classrooms; suitable playing field; four other buildings for classrooms; usable toilets in every building etc. This is the best school in Jashore.

It is one of the best school in Jashore Board. The teachers are very sincere and students are very good and obedient . Here about 2000 students studied and the teachers are about to 55 along with the headmaster. The headmaster is very sincere and strong ruled. Classes are held in 2 shift and each shift has a name . First shift is called as Morning shift and the second shift is called as Day shift. A K M Golam Azam is the headmaster of this famous and oldest school. The school is one of the oldest school in Bangladesh as well as Asia. The school is situated at 1883. There are one mosque, two ponds , one official building , one computer lab , five building for class and multimedia class and the biggest 532 seated auditorium called as Jashore Zilla School Auditorium. Here admission is held only one time in a year for class 3 and 6 and officially 9. The campus is very nice

The oldest school at Jessore.
Jessore Zilla School is the fifth oldest school in Asia, second oldest in Bangladesh and the oldest school in Jessore district southwest of Bangladesh. It was established on 3 February 1838 and named Jessore Zilla School in 1872. Though the school was established under a government order, it was founded with donations from local people. On 27 January 1845, the wife of the zamindar of Naldi Pargana made an annual grant of Tk 300 for running the school. The school received financial and other help from persons like Babu Ramratan, Nilkamal Pal Chowdhury, Raja Barodakanta Roy, Darakanath Thakur, Kunjalal Thakur, Moulavi Abdulllah, Mohammad Karim, Pranonath Chowdhury, Shukh Das Roy, Radhamohan Gosh Chowdhury and Kalikanta Poddar.

This is the 2nd or 3rd best high school in jessore city. It situated 0.5 kilometer away from the heart of the city. Over 2000 students study here. It is the their only educational institution. Here is four separate buildings. All institutional works happens here from 7 am to 5 pm. In the school area there's also a school clinic and district education department. There's also a mosque for both institutional and local. So this is another most busy and crowded place in jessore City.
