Professor Mohammad Ibrahim Born in 1911 in Murshidabad, India. His contribution in the field of medicine in general and diabetes in particular has been nothing less than phenomenal. He was a great and successful physician, a gifted teacher, a talented organizer and a great reformer. He did his MBBS in (1938 ), MRCP in 1949, FCCP in 1950. Prof Ibrahim was the founder of the Diabetic Association of Pakistan (1956) and later of Bangladesh.
In 1957 he set up an out-patients clinic at Segun Bagicha, Dhaka, for the diabetic. Established (BIRDEM) at Shahbag, Dhaka, in 1980 where the out-patients centre of the Bangladesh Diabetic Association was shifted. For his out standing contribution BIRDEM was designated in 1982 as a 'WHO-Collaborating Centre for Developing Community- oriented Programs for Prevention and Control of Diabetes' - It is the first such centre in Asia.
Prof. Ibrahim always believed that an institution achieves its goal and EXCELLENCE not by bricks and mortars; nor by machine or metals but by their human resources and he spent all his life in developing talented human resources. His humility to his patients was legendary and most genuine. Deep empathy and compassion were characteristics of his dealing with his patients especially those who were poor and in pain.
He was in-charge of the Ministry of Health and Population Control, in the mid-1970. In recognition of his contributions, the Government of Bangladesh honored him by appointing him the first National Professor from among physicians in 1984.
Pros:
1. An academic hospital. So, you would find the correct treatment here.
2. Almost all cardiac services are available.
3. Paediatric cardiac care is also available.
4. Emergency ambulance with skilled team is available.
3. Nice position & environment.
Cons:
1. Costly, sometimes beyond middle class people capacity.
2. Seats are limited. So, after morning hour, it's difficult to find a bed.
3. Overloaded hospital. Doctors are busy enough.
The best diabetis hospital in Asia .It is a best hospital for cardiac patient. Entire envirnment is very neat & clean.
Help desk of Cardiac is totally non co operative for making appointments , may check their mobile records / ask themselves to verify this fact. Administrative improvement essential. ICH is our PRIDE, it must be ok!
Good service with high cost. Not for middle class people also.only for rich people. CCU cost around 30000tk per day. But for cardiac treatment it is one of the best also. Nursing is superb

I should say best cardiac hospital in Bangladesh. Really neat and clean, Doctors and nurses very friendly to patients and their family. Highly recommend to make bit cheaper then they have now. As they have senior citizen discount 5% increase to 10% will be more reliable. Keep try to give us best..Thank you
One of the best Cardiak hospital in this area
Good service, best Treatement.
One of the best cardiac hospital of Bangladesh. They try to give best effort to their patients.
One of the best centres in cardiac care with branch of skilled doctors
Poor diagnosis and treatment skill, Very Commercial and expensive. This hospital does not have any good, experienced doctor for advanced cardiac treatment. I have admitted my father in december 2016, The female emergency doctor was very rude, she forcefully admitted my father under Dr. Rashid, who is also the CEO of this hospital, I don't think Dr. Rashid has any commitment or care about the patient admitted under his supervision, he merely visit to check his pateint. In two days the hospital have billed 50000 Taka, by doing unnecessary test and by making untraceable hiddent cost, but we did not know what treatment they did, my father condition become more unstable, therefore we have to release our father from the hospital and admit him into another hospital.
This hospital has now become just another bloodsucker without any good quality doctor. At this moment this hospital does not have any experienced or quality doctor.
