  This ferry terminal is intended to substantially reduce the distance between Khulna Division and Chittagong Division by diverting traffics from Dhaka Since its launch in early 2000s, it is still languishing in its childhood.roads connecting Ferry Terminal both of Chandpur area and Shariatpur area are not suitable for heavy loaded traffics, as such potholes and ditches of the streets made it not so traffic friendly. Only few trucks or buses chose it for commuting.
  It is sheer incompetence of the authority not to be able to harness its full potential.
