  The area name 'Barawlia' came from here. People says a long time ago 12 peers came to visit here & took rest on the place. There is another saying among those 12 peers one got sick during the journey & died here. He was buried there & a dargah built on his tomb.

  There is a meth that Hazrat Barawlia in the inventor of Chittagong, actually the Barawlia made the renascence of Chittagong surroundings.
