This school was established in 1895. In the first case, this school is set up in a straw-sized building. In spite of the increase in the number of students, there was an urgent need to read in Baba Pratap Chandra Das's Chala house. In order to ensure the proper teaching and seat system of the growing student, the state's zamindar Babu Ram Prasad Mallick, carrying the name of his father Harimohan Mallick, remembers the cost of managing the school and named it HM Institution.
