This is no more an hanging bridge. Because it is supported with 2pillers. But the place is beautiful. I suggest to test the pineapple if you go there. Pineapple of Rangamati is sweet which you can never get in other places.

If you don’t visit Rangamati you will not discover a big portion of natural beauties of Bangladesh. From Chittagong a 77 km. road amidst green fields and winding hills will take you to Rangamati. It is also connected by waterway from Kaptai.
[Hanging Bride, Rangamati] This is the only place to visit through out the year. Rangamati expresses her full beauty in rainy season. Trees becoming greener, waterfalls are in full tide, the river Karnaphuli in her full wave in this season. If you already visited Rangamati in winter, we advice to go there again in monsoon; you will feel the difference of nature yourself.

In rainy season Rangamati hanging bridge are not sweet able for tourist. Because the bridge totally sink that time . Tourist Should have avoid this season. But the nature of lake be beautiful in this season.

The bridge is on the middle of the kaptai lake. You can hire a boat to go there. I prefer a sweet winter morning is the best time to go there.

Rangamati Hill Tract:

a. Introduction:
Rangamati is one of the significant district with a big portion of natural beauties of Bangladesgh. This is the only place to visit through out the year. Rangamati is also connected by waterway from Kaptai. The Kaptai lake is the main attractions of Rangamati.

b. Area and location:
Rangamati District with an area of 6116.13 sq km, is bounded by the Tripura State of India on the north, Bandarban district on the south, Mizoram State of India and Chin State of Myanmar on the east, Khagrechhari and Chittagong districts on the west.

c. Kaptai Lake:
Kaptai Lake is the largest man made lake in Bangladesh. Built in early sixties Kaptai Dam and the lake are the main attractions of Kaptai primarily created for hydroelectric power generation. The primary inflows & outflows of this lake is Karnafuli River. This lake is about 1100(sq km) catchments area. Their average depth is 100 ft (30m) and maximum depth is 495 ft (151m). The reservoir was created by damming the river karnafuli near kaptai town in the Chittagong hill tracts. Kaptai Lake is valuable resource for Bangladesh and our tourism sector. People frequently go there for recreational purpose and refreshment. The bridge on Kaptai Lake is another attractive point and different from other bridges.

d. Floral & Faunal composition of this area:
There are various floral and faunal species in Rangamati. Main fruits Mango, jackfruit, banana, pineapple, litchi, black berry. There are other species such as–

You can travel this place with family. You can rent Shampans to explore the lake. Not so much interesting place for visiting with friends. It will be seem too much boring to you then. Though Shuvolong Jhorna was good. Adventure freaks don't aim to be here.

This hanging bridge on the Kaptai artificial lake is the oldest tourist attraction of Rangamati Hill District. It's beauty found different in Summer and Rainy season. During the pick rainy season, bridge goes a little under the level of lake water. All attach pictures taken during Summer in mid April. But the bridge looks very beautiful when the lake water level is 2-5 feet below from the floor level.
