  Gopinathpur. Is my ancestral village; where - my grand father and great grand father was born.
  
  The family was started by Mr Yasin chowdhury circa 1730. It is a beautiful village with a nice calm and tranquil river CHINAIR flows by the village.
  
  Though I have never lived there but visited the village during my childhood. In the main bazaar of the village lies SHAHEED BABUL HIGH SCHOOL ( named after my eldest brother who was killed by the pakistan army in 1971 ) a valiant freedom fighter.
  
  My father AD( assistant Director of erstwhile BDR) ( 1926- 2005) is also buried there in Gopinathpur.
  
  I have some fond memories of the village - during 1971 and after.
  
  Last I visited the village was in the month of sept 1987.
