Totally dirty place. In rainy season its hard to even stand here. Bus come and go to and fro. Irritating noise and bad odour is spread allover.
However, the bus services are quite dynamic and the bus come in time.

Gulistan is a very busy street of Dhaka city in Bangladesh. It means 'Flower Garden' in Persian, which lead to the speculation that in medieval times there might be prominent flower gardens.[citation needed] Several important streets are connected to Gulistan which makes it busy and crowded. The street is full of roadside shops. Thousands of people visit this place for their daily needs. The road is always occupied with traffic and passersby. One of the oldest transports of Dhaka City ‘Tom Tom’ can be seen in this street. There is a shrine right at the middle of the road. It is called “Golap Shah’s Shrine”. Thousands of people show their devotion to this shrine everyday and make donations so that their desire can be fulfilled.

It is over crowded area. People are very busy to do their tasks here. Different types of business goes on all day long here. So different types of people surrounded this place. If you visit this place you should take concern some extra security. Some people can take the change to harris you. Here you will get many items not only shoes or t-shirts or sports items but also many stationary items.

This is so crowded and of course risky place to loose money bag/ mobile phone/ hand bag etc as many drug addicts lives around here. God-damn traffic with little or no orders and rules made this place like a hell.
Be careful when you're here and I'd suggest to leave this place as you can!

Mobile and very pis ornaments are snatched here very frequently from bus window. They complete there activities very swiftly -within a eye drop. So, be careful when you passing this area.
