"Resort" is a misnomer for them. They should rather be called a hotel. In different parts of the town, it is written on signboards, "250m to GSRT", but we found that the "resort" was actually more than a kilometre from that place.
Pros: the toilets were clean. The staffs were well behaved.
Cons: they did not have any mosquito-nets although the whole place gets flooded wirh swarms of insects that get attracted by the lights. Also their breakfast time starts after 8am, ending at 10am! When we asked them for dinner, they informed us that we'll have to order the food before 7:30pm to get the food ready at 9:00/9:30pm! When we went to order dinner at 7:45pm, they said it's too late and asked us to go to the town which is a few kilometres away from the "resort" at the dark of the night just to have dinner. It is such a shame if resorts or hotels ask guests to eat food outside, that too at a place far from their establishment!response / report this review -

I'm Dr Fahim working in BMCH, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. I stayed in GSRT for 1 night 1st May with my wife and brother and his wife.
It's very new (around 6/8 months old, as I heard). Probably that's why the place is just a 6 floor building and basically nothing else. Although, they are expanding.
Hotel interior: 5/10
As I said, everything is new, shiny and polished and still under development. But, the hotel lobby is extremely small. Hotel staffs do not have any proper dress code. There is no elevators installed yet. Whenever it rains, swarms of tiny insects gather around the lights. Although, the staffs lack professionalism, but all of them are really friendly and helpful. The receptionist is good.
Rooms: 7/10
Rooms are quite basic but nice and clean as everything is just new. Toilets are clean and new. Since there are no buildings around, you can see really far from room. Compared to the price, rooms are really good. Hope they can keep up this cleanliness.
Food:
There's no restaurants or food places around GSRT, so if you want to have lunch or dinner, you have to order at least 2 hours before. Closest decent restaurants are Panshi, Paach Bhai etc.
Breakfast: 3/10
The complimentary breakfast was quiet a disappointment. They served porota, egg and a bland watery daal.
Dinner: 7/10
Depends on which set menu you take. We took set menu 1 and they gave plenty of rice, daal and vegetable. And adequate amount of chicken. The taste was good and the staffs were really cordial.

New hotel (one-year old), helpful and welcoming staff will take care of any requests, good price, peaceful location just on the outskirts of Srimangal, highly recommended place to stay
