It was established in 1st July 1968 and nationalized in 1983. After the independence in 1972, the college was renamed as Shaheed Bulbul College from Islamia College after the name of Shamsul Alom BulBul, the then student of this College, who laid down his life in freedom fight. It is a well known College of Rajshahi division because of its historical background and remarkable results in HSC level. It started with only 165 students while there is now 2700 students. There is Honours, and Degree level as well as Higher Secondary level. With a good academic atmosphere and a group of efficient and experienced teachers, this College has occupied a good position in Rajshahi Division.

good college but small space for a lot of students.

There was hardly any classes held, infested with politics. And lower class goons (also known as degree students) leaked around all the time.
That being said not many option for the students there after SSC. Would love to learn the situations have changed.response / report this review -
