Government Akbar Ali college is the famous, largest and oldest oldest college in Ullapara city. This college founded in 1970 before the liberation war of Bangladesh and nationalized in 1984. 10.32 acres campus where stand many buildings. Some buildings are old and some are new. Inside the college campus has a big mosque and a large pond. Recently the college started honors degree under national university.
