  Gono Bishwabidyalay (University) is a private university of Bangladesh. It's one of the biggest private university in Bangladesh. It situated in a village named Nolam, Mirjanagar. It's far away from the busy crowdy city & noise. It's a green campus. Have 3 large fields for various types of outdoor games, have long tannis facility, voliball & basketball facility. There have also a indoor hall for indoor games. It's education system is too good. It's only a private university where have student parliament & have election system. If you want to visit you have to go through Dhaka-Aricha Highway, there have a stand named Baish(22) mile after Nabinagar. From 22 mile you can take a rickshaw or auto rickshaw to visit Gono Bishwabidyalay, it will take time near of 8-10 minutes through rickshaw from 22 mile.

  Well, in terms of the infrastructure, it's surely among one of the top private university in Bangladesh. The study quality is quite decent as well and it's getting better day by day. They are the first private university to start the student union among the private universities. They have some unique subjects to offer, such as Medical Physicss and Biomedical Engineering, which is firsst of it's kind. And their MBBS is also very good and cheap. But one thing is their management system is still quite backdated such as they don't have any student portal, department wise websites also not noteworthy except CSE. If they could manage to digitalize the whole system then I would give a 5 star.

  Gono University or গণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (Bengali: গণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Savar, Bangladesh which was established on 14 July 1998. It is now operating their academic and administrating activity on their permanent campus at Nalam, Savar, Dhaka. It was approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) on 1998.[1] As of 2005, it also introduced new academic courses without UGC approval (as did a number of other private universities)

  Background of the Establishment of the University:
  Gono Bishwabidyalay, a university with a difference, has been established to provide a high quality of education to meet the demands of the modern age. The objective of the university is to foster the national and global development process through the creation of a center of excellence in higher education that is responsive to society’s needs, particularly social development and human welfare. It is also necessary to produce highly skilled manpower, visionary leaders and enlightened citizens by imparting quality education and training so that individuals can achieve their intellectual, social and personal potentials.
  Gono Bishwabidyalay (GB) was established by Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) Public Charitable Trust that came into being during our glorious War of Liberation in 1971. It is noteworthy that Gonoshasthaya Kendra (People’s Health Center), one of the pioneering NGOs in Bangladesh, is well-known all over the world. GK was honoured with many awards, such as – The Independence Day Award in 1978, Magsaysay Award in 1985 and in 1992 Right Livelihood Award from Swedish Parliament. With the same dedicated spirit and vision Gono Bishwabidyalay was established by GK on 14 July 1998.
  In line with GK’s continued support to education, the concept of Gono Bishwabidyalay was originated and established in 1994, in accordance with Bangladesh National Parliament Private University Act-1992. Gono Bishwabidyalay is a “not for profit” institution accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and also approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh.
  Most of the teachers of Gono Bishwabidyalay are full-time, highly qualified, and well-trained. It is worth mentioning, though the education provided by Gono Bishwabidyalay is of very high standard, its educational expenses are much less than that of other private universities in Bangladesh. It is, in fact, less than half and even within the reach of ordinary guardians.
  The education programs of Gono Bishwabidyalay are semester based (six months). So the students can acquire standard education easily which is the case with universities in developed countries of the world.
  At Gono Bishwabidyalay not only study but also sports and physical exercises are conducted regularly achieving overall excellence for the learners. Among the private Universities in Bangladesh only we have a large playground in our campus. There are ample opportunities for both indoor and outdoor sports of the University.
  Gono Bishawbidyalay offers special subjects for studying with a focus on certain aspects of tradition, culture and creativity of the people of Bangladesh, the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Gender, Ethics, and Environmental Science in order to equip them with the knowledge and skill necessary for becoming a complete human being both academically and psychologically. The excellent broad outlook for education makes them skilled and competent for leading the country in its quest for development.

  Best private university based on area. Educational costs are economic. Besides education many sports and festives occur here like "pitha utsob, ghuri utsob, boishakhi mela, photo exhibition, movie show etc".
