একসময় এর খুব রমরমা অবস্থা ছিল। বর্তমানে সময়ের বিবর্তনে ঝিমিয়ে পড়েছে। বেসরকারি কুরিয়ার সার্ভিস, মোবাইল ব্যাংকিং, ইমেইল, মেসেঞ্জারের যুগের সাথে তাল মিলাতে পারছেনা বর্তমানে এ বিভাগটি। সরকারি চিঠিপত্রই ভরসা। সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম আর সেলফোনের যুগে কে ই বা আর চিঠি লিখে! শুধুই নস্টালজিয়া।
