The historic Bhawal Rajbari stands on a 5 acre land in Joydebpur of Gazipur district. Although the palace was declared as Zila Parishad Bhaban in 1986, it is now being used as the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
The two-storey zamindar house has a total of about 365 rooms.
On the west side of the palace there is a huge lake and in front there is a wide plain.
Gazipur Deputy Commissioner's Office is one of the examples of ancient architecture. Preservation of these installations is very important to present the heritage of Bangladesh to future generations.

It is the historical Bhawal Rajbari which is presently used as Office room for DC of Gazipur.
It has a mosque inside it known as ' Court room mosque '

Bhawal rajbari is located at the Joydebpur of Gazipur district. Bhawal Estate was a large zamindari estate in Bengal in modern-day Bangladesh. The area under the estate currently falls under the Gazipur District. The most famous capital of the Bhawal Estate was Choira Meah Bari, where zamindar Fazal Gazi lived. He was one of the Baro-Bhuyans (12th zamindars of Bengal).
The Zamidar mansion is a massive one, but right now it has been occupied by government. This is a mammoth mansion having more than 350 rooms. Though it's a Zamidar mansion but still it's looking like a modern edifice.
