  Vijayadashami is celebrated here on the tenth day of darker fortnight the month of Ashwin according to the Hindu calendar. Each year, the largest celebration of Durga puja is held here and a stream of dignitaries come to felicitate the Demra Hindu community from the temple premises. Hundreds of worshipers and onlookers (including Muslims) stream through the premises where they are offered prasad.
