I have been working here for eight long years. The quality of work here is very high. There are many skilled craftsmen here. And the seniors who are there are very friendly so those who work here work very hard. The environment inside the dockyard is no less beautiful than any park

Dockyard and Engineering Works (DEW) Limited is a ship construction and repair yard at the Narayanganj, Bangladesh owned by the Government of Bangladesh under Ministry of Defence and managed by the Bangladesh Navy. The yard built many small patrol boats for the Bangladesh Coast Guard and landing crafts for the Bangladesh Navy. Currently, it is constructing two Shobuj Bangla class patrol craft and two fast patrol boats for the Bangladesh Coast Guard.

The shipyard was founded in 1922. Initially, it was a profit making institution which continued after the independence of Bangladesh. But, it experienced a period of loss starting from the nineties. As a result, it was laid off in 2002. In 7 December 2007, the yard was handed over to the Bangladesh Navy. From then, it is regaining its standard.[1]This shipyard has constructed the Pabna Class riverine patrol boats from 1972 to 1977, which are the first Bangladesh made warships

This places NAVY DRESSED watchguard behaviour was so horrible.

I actually went there to meet my girlfriend . Waiting for her in the main gate , in the mean time i asked them can i visit this place they told me NO.
i accepted that and i went to visit the school placing with it .

After viewing the school place while i was leaving two navy dressed guy stopped me . One of them name was shahiduzzaman or something . NAVY dressed guard checked all my body as per as their protochol . They got a condom (as a men its normal to have one) , 1500tk from me .

My concern is that why they Even called my MOM taking my phone,
They called my girlfriend and Threatened ME by saying "TOMAR BICHI GALAIA FELBO "
    "TOMAKE ULTA KORE PITABO" .

I mean not all of them are bad . I wanted to say some of them are misusing their power .

DEW is lresently operated by BN. Recently I visited this yars on a pre shipment inspection of self sustained pontoon.

The quality of their work and finishing is satiafactory. The workers are very attentive and they could meet clients requirements.

I should mention the professionalism of all concerned is very high.
