Dhaka City College earned a fantastic reputation as a disciplined and good institution specialized in Commerce Group. However, it has other Science & Arts groups as well and have done quite well. Conveniently located in the Dhanmondi area, which is not far from other great institutions like Dhaka College, University of Dhaka or Eden Girls College. My wife passed her Higher Secondary Certificate Exam from this college with distinctions under Dhaka Board and hence this institution has a special place in my heart.

Dhaka City College has always been untiringly sincere in presenting the nation with skilled personnel capable of contributing substantially in nation-building activities. One of the renowned collage. They always perform best result in Dhaka board. was established in 1957 under the patronage of educationists and social workers. The classes of the college were held at West End High School and thereafter at Dhaka College. In 1970 the college was shifted to Dhanmondi Road No. 2 at its own premises.They both three Group. Science, Commerce and Arts. But this collage is the best for the Commerce student. If you thought to study in Commerce group. then it will be a great choice.But this college doesn't have any field for extra curriculum activities.

Mostly renowned for its quality in Business studies education, one might get tricked to believe that the college does not provide good science education. But this not correct at all. Dhaka City College is a quality institution which has shown its compatibility in all groups throughout the year. This college is greatly preferred by the Business Studies students. A few people will argue with the fact that City college is the best college for commerce education. Though not the best in science education, City college has shown good results in this group as well which proves that they are very good at science as well.
The great disappointment for this college is that It does not have an ideal campus. However, rumours say the authority is working on this issue to resolve the problem with campus.

My friends son studied in Dhaka city college. The college is very good comparing the similar college types in Bangladesh. We cant compare a private college with a government college. These two are totally different. In government college there are some plus and minus. Similarly in private college there are some plus and minus. In conclusion I recommend this college to everybody.

I was a student of this college in 2008 from science group. This college was specially for commerce student but already gained results for others group too. They are offering many subjects under national university. Its a combined college for both boys and girls but sections and shift timing is different for both.

Dhaka City College is one of the most reputed college in Dhaka city. This college is famous for it's commerce department. Almost all the best teachers of accounting, economics, business studies belong to here.

Furthermore their language departments are also strong. Professor of English department Mr Shahjahan Khan was here.

Whereas the science department is not that good in this college.

Location is awesome, but very much congested - only a RCC structure, no playground.

This college has two sections - morning section for girls and day section for boys.
