জামালপুর জেলার এই থানাটি বৃটিশ আমলে প্রতিষ্টিত হয়। আগে বড় টিনের ঘরে অফিস ছিল। ব্রম্ভপূত্র নদের পারে নয়ানাভিরাম শীতল শান্ত পরিবেশে এই পুলিশ স্টেশনটি অতি সুন্দর হিসেবে বিখ্যাত। থানার মাঝে একটি বকুল ফুলের গাছ রয়েছে। আরও রয়েছে বাবা দেওয়ানশাহ এর মাজার। যার নামানুসারে এলাকার নামকরণ করা হয়। বিকেলে শত সহস্র মানুষ থানার সামনে নদীর পাড়ে বসে আড্ডা দেয়।
