Although the place was good and the local caretaker also explained everything in good English, he was very pushy about donations. We agreed to put the donations in the box, but he wouldn't let us do that. He wanted us to give him the money. Even after agreeing to give him, he kept on insisiting for more. This is not the way how you should treat visitors, not at least in a temple.

Not to forget, they charge you for keeping your slippers outside too.

Beware of blackmailing. First, they will show you the temple, then they will ask for money in multiple places. Even where you have put your shoes. Sorry to say, this is not the way to ask for money. You can always introduce ticketing system rather than negotiating with money.

This is a Monastery, a magnificent Buddhist monastery, is visited by thousands of Buddhists from the surrounding areas. It consists of a prayer chambers, assembly hall, Buddha images and manuscripts.

Ω Aggmeda Khyang Monastery is historical place in Cox’sbazar city. The Buddha in memory of Hiram Cox looks like all the other statues. No photography in the main sanctuary. There have some old Burmese collection of books, statues furniture etc . But bad thing is they pushes tourists to give donation.
⌂ The temple is very nice structure. If concern authorities take action to increasing beautification of temple than its will be more attractive place for visitor or prayers. Green trees around the house sheet. Quiet peaceful environment. Which will impress you. □

Some historic Buddha statues from Burma, but not much else to see. The "security guard" was very pushy when it came to "temple donations". The Buddha in memory of Hiram Cox looks like all the other statues. No photography in the main sanctuary.
