Cooper's is a bakery chain in Bangladesh. It was founded in 1984 by Douglas Cooper, a Dhaka-based British expat and World War II veteran, and his wife Sufia Cooper. It operates over a dozen outlets in Dhaka and Chittagong and is a popular household name in upmarket urban areas. It has a factory on the outskirts of Dhaka in Ashulia. The company is managed by brothers John and Simon Cooper, the children of Douglas and Sufia Cooper.
Cooper’s is one of the best confectioneries in Dhaka city. They are famous for their Cakes, Sandwiches, breads, Pastries and Quick Bites. This bakery is one of our favourite from the very beginning of their journey to till now. Their service is always very good and price of items are more than average. We bought a Birthday cake from their Gulshan branch, which is always favourite to my children, cake was delicious.
Cooper's is quite popular in town as a mini traffic jam ensues at its approach during lunch hour. It is a brand name in its own right. Their bakery items including chicken patties and cakes are first rate. Price of items is average to somewhat above average. Highly recommended for customers craving for a dessert or snack.
In my personal opinion, the taste of most of Cooper's cakes are average and the same can be said about their bakery products. However, on the plus side, they are a professional outfit with professional attitude and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the shops.
They are famous for their cakes. Snack items are also good. If you are looking for these in reasonable price along with good taste, this is the place. However, all of their bakery items are good as well.
Coopers had excellent pastries I enjoyed very much. The Radison conference and hotel is by far the best hotel on Dkahi but very expensive. There are new hotels opening up like the Marriot which still had construction going on outside the hotel with more hotels being built. Very close to the airport.
It's a good place to have bakery foods, desserts, ice-creams and all other bakery items. I have been there many times and I always find the taste and the quality of the food are consistent. There are some traditional hot bakery items also, those are tasty. I tried almost all of the menu and found really good. I often go to the Airport road one and sometimes the Baily road one. Price is reasonable.
Cooper’s is around for a long time in Dhaka and they are undoubtedly one of the best bakeries in the town. Been there so many times – for fast food, for cake, for bread. Though their pricing is bit higher but they have been consistent in quality and taste. I always have been a big fan of their French pizza, since the very first time when they introduced it in 2001. Then overtime, they came up with many new items keeping their quality promise – the Tart, the Cookies, the Chocolate breads.
If you are looking for quality bread and snacks items, this is the place you can certainly rely on.
Good old coopers , I come here for a chicken sandwich and a coffee on my way to work when I'm in Dhaka . Its around the corner from where I stay and cheap for what it is. The coffee is possibly the worst quality you can imagine and it comes one style , in a paper cup sweet and milky. If you don't want it sweet , too bad . I don't know why but i have grown to love coopers sweet milky coffee The pastries , if you dare to venture, are all high fat with god knows what inside , veg, chicken,they are not bad though . The cakes are , well , not top quality , but the locals love them and thats what matters , its hard to get a seat in this joint at any time of day so its popular.
One great thing at coopers is they make white and brown sliced bread in packets to buy that has no sugar in them . Its not possible to buy unsweetened bread in many places. Its good bread.response / report this review -
