Most important transportation service in Bangladesh. From the British period people use this railway tracks. Very helpful atmosphere.

Chittagong is a very historical place and this station also. This station was founded by the Britishers. After the creation of independent Bangladesh, the government has made so many developments but not up to the mark. Till now so many facilities are unavailable in this station.

Chittagong has two railway stations. One is new and another is old, which was built by the British Government. There is a highway beside the station which is called station road. This old railway station is very near from the hotel “Golden Inn”. Basically it’s not a tourist place but its old red structure can lure you to visit the station.
This station is not function for long road journey. Some local train take a stoppage here. Also some goods caring trail used to load or unload their goods at this place.response / report this review -

Not wheelchair accessible. I saw a lady today asking for a wheelchair but to no avail. I find it safer to travel by train than by any other means. Trains like 'Shuborna' and 'Shonar Bangla' provides first class travelling experience. But if you are travelling in other trains other than aforementioned ones then you DO need to keep an eye on your bags.(bags get stolen sometimes)

This Railway Old Station is a historical place founded by British East Indian Company with just a one platform. But now there are almost 12 platform in that two Station (old and new) such a beautiful place ever in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. I gladly recommended that place to visit that place. Thanks

Chittagong Railway Station is one of the busiest station in Bangladesh. It is a very old railway station. After Dhaka Kamalapur railway station the station is very popular. There are ticket counter, waiting room for VIP and general passenger, washroom and all kind of money transaction services available. Especially the station is popular for "Shatol Train" to go in University of Chittagong. Students of Chittagong University are go their varsity by "Shatol Train" in everyday.

One of the most oldest railway terminal in Bangladesh.The architecture of this station attracts any person easily.British government established the railway station. Chittagong was the only sea port in Bangladesh during the governance of British. It was the largest railway station made by British government. Now there is another railway station besides this terminal. Now only local train and few of intercity train are departure from here. The train of largest university of Bangladesh, Chittagong University are run through this station.

An important landmark of chittagong. You can go anywhere in Bangladesh from here. You can catch shuttle train for Chittagong University. Its always busy and crowded over here. Drinking Water and ATM facilities are available here. And its not too safe to stay here for strangers or tourists at night on the platform.

The former main rail station of Chittagong, it is now a part of Chittagong Rail Station. Several local trains, and most of the cargo trains operate from here. Also the Chittagong University Shuttle( CU shuttle), the world's only university train operates from here.

Once served as the main terminal, now serving as the transit point of trains to a few destination. Some administrative offices are now operating from this architecturally beautiful heritage of Chittagong. The sad thing is it has lack modern amenities.

The major and Endpoint Railway Station for both passenger and cargo train. Facilitated with both meter-gauge and broad gauge rail lines. Wheel Chair accessible to platform and ticket counter. Passenger platforms and ticketing areas are facilitated with shades and sitting arrangement. There are several cafeterias and restaurants.

One of the most beautiful railway station over bangladesh. Its near the New market of chittagong. You may go here by 3no and 8no bus from Oxygen mur, 6No bus from Freeport, and 1no and 2no bus from Bahaddarhat.
