Natural environment is so cool. Having such a place inside the Chittagong city is very rare.

Its one of the very nice place in Chittagong. Though its a cemetery the environment is fully green and above the hill. A lot of people come here everyday with their friends and passes their good time here. Its a historical place also as the cemetery is for the special people. Its near the Chittagong Medical College and the transport is very fine all around from this cemetery. All day long people come here. So its a very nice place to come from any place of the city.

Chittagong War Cemetery is in Dampara locality, No.19 Badsha Mia Chowdhury Road, 22 kilometres north of the airport and 8 kilometres from the port on a site which was formerly paddy fields, but which has now been developed. It is near the arts college and close by Finlay's Guest Houses near Chatteshanry Road; a well known road leading to the Hindu Kali Bari Temple. There is no C.W.G.C. road direction sign. The Burial area is situated at the bottom of a slope directly behind Finlay's Guest Houses and is surrounded by a large area planted with a mixture of jungle trees,fruit trees and flowering trees. It is not easily seen from the road. A narrow tarmacked lane leads from the entrance gate to the burial area which is entered through a metal gate flanked by two small brick chapels. The cemetery gates are open from 07.00 to 12 noon and 14.00 to 17.00. Within the cemetery will also be found the Chittagong Memorial which, together with the Bombay 1939-1945 War Memorial, to be found in the Indian Seamen's Hostel Bombay, commemorates over 400 sailors of the former Indian Navy and nearly 6,000 sailors of the former Indian Merchant Navy who were lost at sea during the war years. Each memorial takes the form of a finely bound volume containing the names of the dead.

This is the grave yard of Second World War. The solders of different countries and different relegious are buried here. The place is so quite and clean and the authority create restriction to make noise. The opening hour is 7am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm and no entry fee is required. The hill side environment is awesome. No car parking is available inside. Road side parking is little bit risky. Wheel chair accessible is allowed.

One of the Most Attractive place in the city which is close to Amirabad Rresidential area. Furthermore This place has huge attractions because of its individuality and calmness. On the other hand, this place is literally a Grave yard of war soldiers of different countries including Japan,england,korea and so on. However its not treated as a Typical grave yard but a place where people can have a great time in between calm and peace environment with their family or friends.

This was a very moving experience for me especially as I had not visited a war cemetery. The cemetery is very well maintained and the abbey can be seen from the cemetery. Those who, lost their lives were all young. so it was so sad to see and serves as a reminder that we should not be dragged into a war. This is a very moving cemetery and memorial garden in an extraordinary setting. Highly recommended for those even with little interest.

It’s a different place than any other place. Sun shines and trees blow by the grief of the died souls. Commonwealth War Cemetery is also known as War Cemetery Chittagong. It’s a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Chittagong, This cemetery was established to show the honor for the soldiers and others who died in World War II. This cemetery was created by the British Army, and there were originally about 400 burials.

Historic place of WWWII. Another war cemetery situated in Mainamoti Comilla. They have a book in which u found the names of soldiers who died in battle during WWWII.

This place is just fabulous although this place is historical cemetery. This war cemetery place is clean, methodical and fair. I have go there many time for refreshments.

Although it's a cemetry, but the natural scene of this place is so attractive and amazing full of narural beauties. Everyday hundreds of visitors come here to visit the cemetry with friends and family members.

A divine peace can be felt in this cemetery. It's a symbol of patriotism of our countryman in the time of world war. however it is very astonishing that the symbol of the cemetery is a cross although the most of martyrs of this cemetery is not christian. Authority of this cemetery is worthy of getting thanks for their nice management. the door of the cemetery remain closed in the evening time.
