Chandranath Temple is 2 miles away from Sitakunda Bazar near Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. This temple's height is 1152 feet. Travelling to Chandranath Temple is so much thrilling. If you want to go there, you should choose the left road of hill which is start after the waterfall. It is so much easy. But you need to choose the right stair path at the time on returning.

It's a beauty of nature. Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

The stunning thing about this temple is the altitude of this and the followers who climb this height to say a prayer or make a wish !! You'll enjoy the climb if you pick the hardest path in a rainy day. At the peak there's not enough decorations for taking photographs. Which might be added. Nevertheless is will be worth the climb

Had a great experience going to Chandranath hill, Sitakund with friends and younger brother. This is a pilgrimage of hindus. According to them their lord ram & sita have landed on this hill. There have a "kund" which was made for Sita for taking bath and from there the place named sitakund. Nowadays it is a trend for travel thirsty to claimb its pick. It's height is about 1300 feet. Very tiring and enjoyable journey will be waiting for you..

Chandranath Temple, located on top of the Chandranath hill, is a famous Shakti Peeth located near Sitakunda in Bangladesh where, as per Hindu sacred texts, the right arm of Goddess Sati fell. Chandranath Temple is a pilgrimage site for Hindus.

A beautiful Hindu Temple situated on the peak of Chandranth Hill. I conquer this hill after crossing 1200 stairs. It is very risky place but every year thousand of Hindu and others religion people get up on the hill peak. if you want to go there by CNG then you have to paid 300 taka per person. I saw many old women and men get up this hill.

Climbing this hill is a challenge. Great adventure for a man. Hindu religious people can pray here. Chandranath is another name of Lord Shiva.

Incredibly beautiful and tranquil. Hard to reach though, takes a great deal of stamina, mental strength and will. But it's worth it.

It is at top of the mountain. It takes quite an effort to reach the temple. You have to cross 12 hundred steps of stairs. Traveling light with plenty of water is suggested. But once you reach the top, the view is worth it.

The views are so blissful. But the climb is excruciatingly long and tough. The steps are narrow and crumbling, very steep. Never climb when it has been raining. But persevere and reach the summit. It's worth it. And take a lot of water.

About 37 Km. from Chittagong city. This is famous for the chandranath hindu temple, one of the oldest temple in the subcontinent and the Buddhist temple with a footprint of Lord Buddha.

These places particularly the hilltops are regarded as very sacred by the Hindus and Buddhists. Shiva Chaturdashi festival is held every year in February is held every year in February when thousands of pilgrims assemble for the celebrations which lasts about ten days. There is a hot-water spring 5Km. to the north of Sitakunda.

This is one of the most important religious places for Hindus in Bangladesh. But yet it becomes day by day a tourist attraction. The natural beauty around the temple is so beautiful, as the temple is in the top of Chandranath hill.
