Oldest Shiv Mandir in Jessore-Khulna highway. The Mandir is located just on the roadside. Now Mandir is taken over by archaeology department. Care taker have been deployed to look after the security of the Mandir. The architectural view is good.

About 3km down the road to Khulna, this quaint and delightful 18th-century temple is certainly worth an excursion out of Jessore's urban mess. Dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, the temple is built in the Bengal style with a two-tier vaulted roof crowning its arched brick walls lined with intricate terracotta panels. The village behind the temple, thrown around a tiny pond, is inhabited by friendly people and is a nice place to sample some rural sights and sounds.

According to the inscription, depicted on the wall of the temple, this temple was built by Sri Monohor Roy in 1696 CE. This temple is a great example of Aat-Chala type temple of Bengal Architecture. This temple has three arch entrance at East, South and West side with highly decorated facade with Terracotta. This temple area is announced as an protected archaeological site and conserved by Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Chachra Shiv mandiris a 17th century built temple that is located at the Chachra of Jessore district. It is located exactly beside the Jessore-Benapol highway. This is a two stored Shiva temple that is having a single Rotno basically the second store] at the top.

Chachra Shiv mandir is having stylish outer wall at the three sides out of four. Most of those are old fashioned but simple terracotta. It was left carelessly for many years. But recently the department of Bangladesh Archaeology renovated the temple and declared this as an archaeological asset of Bangladesh. From the inscription of the temple, its found that the Temple was build by someone named Monohor Ray during 1696
