WORST hospital for pets. A vet called Najmul Hasan, his behaviour is EXTREMELY RUDE and offer NO TREATMENT at all (unqualified doesn’t have proper knowledge about veterinary) kept giving some random tests just for some money, which was totally irrelevant and was not related to pet’s sickness. They don’t offer any free services. They don’t provide any medicines and vaccines, tests and x-ray test.

Not recommended, They don't provide any number. The Vet was kind of ignoring us and didn't listen enough. Didn't explain anything what I should do or not do. The reception was not professional. Don't take your pet if something serious is happening to her.

First of All you need to know most important thing of this hospital.

IT'S 100% FREE of COST (Without medicines others all facilities like Doctor Visit - Injection Push, X ray are totally 0 cost)

Just you need to take a receipt from counter by addressing,

1) Your Name
2) Location
3) Phone No.
4) Category / Species of the Animal

Then you just go to the available Dr. room (mentioned in the top of the receipt) and consult your problem.

After that you can find the medicines near to hospital in the main 4 road center of Bongobazar. Ask any local shop but not in hospital I will tell why in later.

If you are done with purchase you go back to hospital if any injection push or other activities need to complete.

That is how you can have the services from this place.

Since it's a govt. monitored hospital so you might find some third party who will offer medicines at low cost from hospital as well as some may even ask for money after pushing injection and making x ray or others.

Simple answer never give them money. If you want to give because your find them helpful and willingly want to donate some money that's fine but remember you're are not bound to which can be explained by them to some extents.

I went with my cat, was explaining her symptoms. They didn't even listen a bit and said that she has a disease that's incurable yet even me saying she isn't eating or drinking they gave antibiotic. My cat died 1 day after. She was a healthy cat. They did wrong treatment. What infuries me is that they work for animals but don't care about or love animals. And it's a governmental hospital but still the clerk take money per treatment or vaccination or
injection.

You’ve to enter your name & details in entry section, then the clerk will inform you where to go. No visit fee. But Vaccine is NOT FREE. You’ve to buy vaccine from a nurse(or crew who is talkative) for money. She says, she has bought it & selling it for money as there's no vaccine supplied by Govt. She just takes 20/- more than outside store & gives ice to protect the vaccine.

I'm giving it a 4 star because:
1. It's the largest public veterinary hospital in Dhaka, I don't know about other cities.
2. It's quite inexpensive, in fact you'll only have to pay for the medicines at their retail value, diagnosis cost which is very reasonable (if you require any) & the daunting task of taking your pet/domestic livestock to old Dhaka. Just walk up to the reception area & book check up ticket for free.
3. It has country's top level veterinarians from BCS, their attitude might be a bit colder but if you stick to your relevant task in hand you'll be fine.
4. Don't ever pay or offer to pay any vets any money, it's a government establishment. You only pay the government by their set of rules. But do give some tips to the assistant. I gave 100 taka for my dog. It should not be more than that but don't expect those assistants to take care of your pets on the table unless it's a surgery.
5. The only concern here is the hygiene issue which I also find in the private chambers. Don't forget to give your pet a bath after visiting there & watch out for other pets with contagious diesease.

it's a government animal hospital, but you may said to pay all cost for medicine, vaccine, *** but please dont pay any money to the doctor or assistance for any injection or medicine because its a government hospital all medicines are full free .even there is a signboard also that ' sokol dhoroner arthik lenden nisiddho' so be carefull .they may say you to give them money .don't pay please . you don't need to pay any cost for doctors, doctors are friendly. open 7 days. Friday 9to 12 & Saturday 9to 2pm. other days stars at 8.30 am.but there is a negative side also. If you don't look like enough rich, you may not get priority even in emergency , your pet can die also. So it will be better if you take an enough adult person or having e rich, fationable, smart look. all doctors may not same, but i met two doctors one of them like this, and another is better in behaviour

I lost my little pegion for this room no.7 illiterate doctor.Worse hospital that not for birds.firstly extreme nasty place for sick animals.I visited at so bad smell government hospital with my sick pigeon.My pregion main problem was vomiting,Green loss motion n breathing problem.Room number 7,Doctor is unqulified n he did not know how to cure birds problems.He wrote me 2 antibiotics with heavy dose.After nextday when I gave medicine to my pegion.In that afternoon my one and half year little pegion died.I m feeling sad😢 worse experience everdoctor needs more knowledge about birds problems n how to cure perfectlycoz less knowledge is dangerous for one life.so plz doctor's should check birds health condition first then prescribe right dose for sick birds.weak n little birds r not torlate heavy dose.sick birds should be admitted in the hospital/clinic first but sadly say, the animal hospital/clinic in the Bangladesh no admission process for sick birds as a result birds r dieing coz doctor knows better take care n more knowledge about patients(birds,cats,dogs,cow etc) than owners like humen doctors

Its govnt what more can you expect anyway. I had my cat vaccinated here for tk500 (only rabies) and they asked for another vaccine which prevent the cat from getting all kinds of diseases and it would cost tk 1200. 2 kinds basically
