Shaheed Chandu Stadium is an important place in bogra. Great place to catch a game.

Shaheed Chandu Stadium (Bengali: শহীদ চান্দু ষ্টেডিয়াম), previously known as Bogra Divisional Stadium, is a stadium located in northwestern side of Bogradistrict, Bangladesh. There is a swimming pool and a theme park is in front of it. In the west there is a big farm and in the north there is a recently closed slaughter house. It became a Test cricket venue on 8 March 2006, when it hosted a Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It has a total capacity of 15,000. The ground has a field dimensions of 175m x 140m. The last International match played here was between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in 2006, since 2006 It is hosting domestic cricket.

Transportion problems, player's accommodation problems, are a few of problems for which Bangladesh Cricket Board which preclude matches being hosted at the venue. In the city there is no International/Domestic Airport which made it difficult to host international matches. Moreover, there are not many hotels of 4/5 stars as required by the ICC. The Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Government of Bangladesh are trying to solve problems related to hosting so that the venue can come back to host international matches as soon as possible.

Shahid Chandu Stadium got the honour of international venue in 2006. But now it has lost the honour for the negligence of the local authorities. The last international match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe played here in December 2006, Bangladesh won by 26 run. Now only national league or others home cricket play here.

Its an International cricket stadium. Nice place to visit because there is one amusement park just beside the stadium. Also a swimming complex situated here.
