Bhawal National Park is situated in Gazipur district, beside Dhaka to Mymensingh High way. It’s about 40 km away from the Dhaka city. It has very good amenities and recreational facilities and truly a natural treasure. It was also designed to provide recreational opportunities for the people of the country.

Its our National park. Its Natural resources are awesome. We feel we lost in Green, our pride of trees. But I feel some discomfort here for poor cleanliness, Weak Security, lake of helping hand and some portion of the forest have captured by illegal users. but overall its a nice place to visit with friends and family. Please take some great action to make this park more attractive.
Govt owned Natural park. Huge establishment, weak security. The wardens are non cooperative. Dirty. Lack of care. The greens are beautiful by itself.
Vawal National Garden is also called Rajendropur National Park. It is very fantastic picknik sport. also some cortage. It is look very butiful.
Without any doubt, this is one of the nicest place near Dhaka for an one day family-friends outing. If you have a break from your monotonous daytoday life then I would highly recommend you to definitely visit this place. The overall environment of this place is satisfactory; as a result, you would be able to enjoy your time quite well with your family-friends or beloved ones. Moreover, this is also a kid friendly place.
In addition, the ticket price is also very affordable!
Overall, a recommend place for an one-day family-friends outing.

Bhawal National Park is my very first visited place in my childhood. Now a days I often visited the place. It's naturally beautiful forest. Many beautiful water body inside the forest. A watch tower give you a different experience.
Very big park but there is nothing much to do so you can just go see and come back but you will enjoy the drive as the road is very good now
Bhawal National Park (Bengali: ভাওয়াল জাতীয় উদ্যান) was established and maintained as a National Park in 1974; it was officially declared in 1982 under the Wildlife Act of 1974. It is located in Gazipur, Dhaka Division of Bangladesh, approximately 40 km north of Dhaka city, only 20 km drive from Gazipur and 20 km from Kapasia. The core area of the park covers 940 hectares but extends to 5,022 ha of surrounding forest. Its purpose is to protect important habitats as well as to provide opportunities for recreation. It has been kept under IUCN Management Category V, as a protected landscape. The most common flora is the unique coppice sal forest. The area was noted for peacocks, tiger, leopard, black panther, elephant, clouded leopard and sambar deer. However much of the wildlife had disappeared and only a few species remain. Also, most of the forest has been denuded and is now occupied by forestry companies or displaced people.
Most of this area was covered by forests fifty years ago and the dominant species was Sal (Shorea robusta). Illegal deforestation has left only 600 km² of the forest and new trees and woodlands have been planted.
The park has 345 plant species, including 152 different tree species, 53 shrubs, 106 herbs and 34 climber species. The wildlife in the park includes 13 mammals, 9 reptiles, 5 birds and 5 amphibians. In addition the Forest Department has recently introduced peacocks, deers, pythons, and cat fish
Once a dense Sal Forest, this park is now only a showpiece. It has some rest houses but only for official use. Not much wildlife except few birds. Still the only open place nearest to Dhaka where you can go with children. Bring you own food but do not litter.
Too good to be lost in nature, green all around. Birds chirping, bees humming and beautiful nature will make you feel poetic.
Biggest national park in Bangladesh founded by Government. For amusement anybody can go and spend some time for refreshment over there. Located at Gazipur district.
Went there for a picnic with the family. The place is almost well maintained but I was perhaps expecting more from a National Park than this. Boat rides are available for short distances on the little creek running through the center of the Park and there is rather mediocre "zoo". All in all, if you want to take your family on a small retreat the guesthouses are good enough for accommodation.
A national forest mostly famous for its sal (Shorea robusta) trees. A lash green patch near Dhaka.
Mostly famous for its Sal trees, this National Park is one of the best in Bangladesh. Sadly, the maintenance is not up to the mark. However, this is quite a good place for a day long program, especially for family picnic. There is a lake inside the park and few cottages near the lake where people can stay. There is boat riding facility as well. Wild lives are not very common in this park anymore, but if you are lucky enough you might see a lot of birds on the trees and some rare species of butterflies as well.
