Bangla Academy is key place where people have been working to improve bangla language. Bangla Academy is the only place who decides what to do for developing bangla language. Every in the month of February they conduct book fair or Boi Mela. That is a biggest book fair in the country. All the writers in our country wait for this month so they will publish new book.

Love the amazing crowd and festivity. There was abundant of everything here during the time of Book Fair ie. Boi Mela 2018-books, humans, fast foods, snacks, drinks, coffee, juices, etc.
Also it featured one of the most featured comic book called Mujib 4.

Bangla Academy works for the conservation of indigenous culture, tradition and literature and conducts research on Bangla language.
It organizes the month long 'Ekushey Book Fair' every year in February. If you love reading, do make a visit if you can. The academy also organizes other events from time to time.

Bangla Academy established in 3 December, 1955. It is located at Ramna, Dhaka University area, south east to TSC. It is an autonomous body. It's aim is to research on Bengali language and culture. It arranges the annual Ekushey book fair in the month of February in the memory of the language martyrs. This book fair is very popular and the largest book fair of the country.
It has many wings to furnish it's activities. These are research, compilation, folklore, culture, language, literature, publications, text books, planning, training, translation etc. There is a rich library also.
Bangla Academy gives 2 awards annually. These are Bangla Academy Literature Award and Rabindra Award. Both are very popular awards of the country. The Bangla Academy literature award is given in poetry, novel, short story, research, essay, science, translation, drama and juvenile literature. On the other hand Rabindra Award is granted for the research and contribution on the work of the Noble laureate poet Rabindra Nath Tagore.

Organize Aamor Ekushey Bangla Book Fair in February month every year and the annual Dhaka International Literary Festival.
