Till 1947 August that is till the partition of India and formation of East Bengal that became later Bangladesh in 1971 under the glorious leadership of Bangabandhu Sekh Muzibur Rahman , our ancestral house was at Balipara village on the bank of river Brahmaputra that was a small river port mostly famous for jute transportation . Near our house complex was the rail station then with the name Ramamrita Ganja now the name is Aulianagar station . We used to live in Mymansingh town in a rented house opposite to Alaka cinema hall for my father was a professor in history in the Ananda Mohan College in Mymansingh. Netrakona was then my maternal grand father's residence. We left that country say around February 1948 . Later my father being in foreign service came to Dhaka in 1949/50 and was in Deputy High Commission of India . Me also visited Dhaka then and finally came to Calcutta in 1951 .
In 2000 during Durgapuja days my wife and me visited Dhaka and Mymansingh in our Home Coming feelings. On Astami Puja day we in an ac bus NIRAPAD came to Mymansingh and had touched Trisal and with deep emotion saw a sign board there telling Balipara jaibar rasta that is way to Balipara . Due to shortage of time we could not go to Balipara we felt very sad . On that day we could partake Prasad in Ramakrishna Mission in Mymansingh town .
