  Balashighat is mainly a boat station for the mighty Brahmaputra river in Gaibandha district. here anyone can rent a boat for hours and can enjoy boat ride with friend and family and also for beloved someone,overall a place for boat riding.

  This is a beautiful place to hangout with friends or watch natural beauty. Balashighat is one of the most important connection points gor the city of Gaibandha to the other parts of the country like Dhaka. Previously it was used to be a naval port for transporting goods in massive scale.

  Balashi Ghat is one of the most beautiful tourist spots of Gaibandha District. You can enjoy the charming natural beauty of the mighty river Jamuna. Hire a CNG auto-rickshaw or Rickshaw to reach the spot. Experience the life style of boatman & their way of livelihood. You can hire a boat to watch fishing in the river.

  A mind refreshing place situated outside the city.Ideal place for hangouts with friends and family.People used to visit this place occasionally.It connects Gaibandha with Jamalpur district.Though Steamers are abandoned here fishing boats and small cargo ships are seen here.

  Balashi Ghat is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Gaibandha District.It stands beside the bank of Jamuna River and is not very far from Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. At the beginning of 2004, steamers were banned from this place. Although, trawlers & boats are available for traveling. It builds connection with the southern districts of Jamalpur. It's a nice place to enjoy gentle breeze of the mighty river Jamuna.
