The National Mosque of Bangladesh, not only the largest in Bangladesh but one of the largest in the world with a capacity more than 42000. Completed in late Pakistani rule and designed by Abdulhusein Thariani, a prominent architect of the age. The mosque's architecture has derived it's influence from Mughal architecture but it has a very modern look to it. original design doesn't stand now because it had to be renovated and extended to meet modern needs, but it's still very beautiful.

Baitul Mukarram is a Holy House that is the national mosque of Bangladesh located at the center of Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. This mosque was completed in 1968. It has a capacity of 30,000, giving it the respectable position of being the 10th biggest mosque in the world. However the mosque is constantly getting overcrowded. This especially occurs during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which has resulted in the Bangladeshi government having to add extensions to the mosque, thus increasing the capacity to at least 40,000. This is not only a nice place for the people but also it's a place of beauty. It's nice structure attract people. Many people come to visit this place from different places of the country and even from outside. It's interior design and garden is the main peace giver of this holy place. It's not just a prayer house is a safe place for passerby. I've visited many times to this place. It's happiness for the prayers to pry at this place. It's a center mosque of Dhaka. In the religious days more prayers come to pray here. The mosque has few structures like shops, offices, libraries, parking areas within the complex area. The main dome of the roof of its main prayer hall have been a unique view. It's a nice place indeed.

Baitul Mukarram Mosque is the National Mosque of Bangladesh. Its construction began in early 1960 and had been completed in phases. It’s located at the meeting point of Old and New Dhaka in the heart of the city. The site was also in close proximity to all the central business district of the city. The mosque is made in its modern architectural style. The design of the mosque is a white and almost cube-form for the main building without a dome over the roof of its main prayer hall. The main building is eight storied with a huge complex, which includes shops, offices, libraries and parking areas. This is also a crowded area in Dhaka city.

Thariani and built by Haji Abdul Latif Bawany, the owner of the Bawany Jute Mills. This is a complex which have shops, offices and a library with parking space.
