This is one of the biggest BRTC bus depot in Dhaka city. Normally this depot is used to keep double decker buses. There are lot of volvo buses which have been dumped here. This depot is also used to train and test the new drivers. It is situated in Mirpur 12 bus stand.

This is government owned Driving training center. Tow types of training are available here. 1 light vehicle driving training (cars , microbus) and 2 professional heavy vehicle Driving training (double decker bus , minibus , bus , truck) . The instructor are well qualified and caring. The startup training is for 1 month costs 6000 BDT. Professional training is free of cost for unemployed people funded by Bangladesh govt SEIP project. Here is a workshop of vehicle repairs . And it's a bus depot of Brtc.

I spent a lot of time during my childhood here. Abbu used to bring me with him to his office and I used to wander around this place and look for nuts and screws. I've always been passionate about automobiles and seeing so many Buses and cars would make me crazy. The smell of petrol, engine oil would seem like a perfume to me.

Bangladesh road transportation corporation is only transportation company in Bangladesh. Mirpur 12 Bus Depo was one the biggest establishment to accumulate buses, double decker , Volvo double decker etc. Here is also a driver's training center . Under the supervision of experienced instructor , driving instruction and basic automobile knowledge have been given to the trainee. A automobile workshop to repair the Buses run by excellent mechanics. A separate fuel pump, a control center, vehicle wash facilities and a mosque are situated in the territory of Bus Depot. But now the condition is very worse. Their no monitoring over the activity of the employee and no sufficient funds to maintain the vehicles properly. Lots of Volvo buses are standing here as a witness of past glory of this Depot. Ministry should have given a attention to improve the condition and save the property of the nation.
