Very good place to self study. Open 7 days a week. Sat-sun 9.00 Am to 9.00 Pm.
Friday 9.30-12.30 Pm and 3.30 Pm to 9.00Pm. No holiday.
Food arrangement is available there.

There are very few libraries in Dhaka city and among them "aloghor" is one of the prominent one. It is run by the ngo "DISA". Aloghor is not only a library but a place of social gathering where young minds come and share there views about society and about life. It is playing a great roal in the social development of Mirpur.

Aloghar is the most famous library in Mirpur, founded by DISA. Aloghar's major services are Book reading, Internet browsing, Newspaper archives. All services are completely free. Any one can read daily Newspaper or Books there, even readers does not have to keep any security deposit for taking books to home.

I was a member and a regular reader of Aloghar since 2007 to 2015. I strongly recommend everyone to go there with friends and family to gather knowledge. They are located at E-11 Pallabi Extension, Mirpur just opposite of WASA colony.
