Aarong is a famous brand of BRAC. On the other this place is known as Aarong as well. Bus helper and conductor will let you get down here if you say only Aarong. Aarong is mainly a handicrafts super shop. They sell various kinds of goods made mainly by rural women in Bangladesh. Clothing, shoes, decorative items, gifts and souvenir etc. are sold here. Price is little high. This brand is also famous to the foreigners. You may get some uncommon items here.

Beautiful but certain things are overpriced at times. What can you do though, there is no substitute for Aarong. Trust me, I looked. Aarong solves the problem of having to spend hours if not days looking for different traditional crafts. It's convenient and guaranteed to please. Also, the quality is superb. I purchased a jute backpack from Aarong and it's replaced my designer backpack just flawlessly even though I didn't expect it to be able to carry the weight of my college textbooks. All for less than 500 taka. Will definitely be coming back this summer to restock.

All those desi local goods, handcrafted and well finished under the same roof. Nice and ambient place to have shopping spree with your besties or all alone. They have cloth lines, they have flower vases, they have decor goods and many more. Not all outlets offer parking lot but one can easily park nearby.

Aarong is only superstore in Bangladesh which brought Bangladeshi handicraft and lots of small co-operatives in mainstream market. Aarong partnering with small handicraft co-operatives brought many hardworking entrepreneurs mostly women to limelight and made them self-employed. They have decent collection of panjabis, various handicraft and household decoration items. It is also very tastefully decorated. Parking is a issue if you are riding in a car.

Probably this is the oldest branch of Arrong. Always crowded as usual. But you will find the most of the items here with the variety of sizes. Salespersons are so helpful. Sometimes it may take times to get your question answered but they will always cooperate with you.

From clothes to crockery to cutlery to candles to curtains Jewellery to shoes to gifts and gift wrap They have it all and more. You must stop by Aarong to pick up something that is quintessentially Bangladeshi. They offer an in-house rewards program. And have special promotions which are well advertised.

Sometimes they run out of stock of products that you have carefully picked out which can be pretty annoying. Also during Ramadan and around the Eid holidays there is an unbelievable rush of people which can be claustrophobic to some. Around the Eid holidays Aarong employs part timers who are not well informed about the products and that too can be annoying.

This is the place from where Aarong have gained their fame. Traditional Bangladeshi designer dress for men, women and children, different types of crafts accessories and household items mainly made by the women from remote villages are found here.
