Great and awesome dighi ever built. I want to know how and who digged this dighi. I have visited this pond three times in my life and I do want to go back there to observe natural beauty and get fresh air. Spectacular view. If anyone comes up with an archeological latest update please share with me.

The name of the archaeological site is Aachranga Dighi (large pond of Aachranga). This site is situated at Mamudpur Union of Khetlal Upazila of Joypurhat District. It is assumed that this famous pond had been mined 120 years ago. It is 1000 feet long and 1070 feet wide (25.50 acre). Monu Bhutta, the member of Tahirpur King's family had taken initiative to dig this pond. In 1992, 12 antic statues had been found during re-excavation. (photo credits goes to: Joypurhat: 5900 group)
