It is a very busy place because there is so many varsity and study institution here. It is a bus stop also. Maloncho, Rajonigondha, MTCL Buses go by this road. There is also a BRTC Bus Stoppage here. The Keari ltd. and the Almas Super Shop is also in this place. Unimart shopping mall is also opened here last year.

Its origins can be traced back to the late 1950s, beginning as a residential area for the city, and over the decades evolving into a miniature city, with hospitals to malls, schools, banks, offices and universities. After the liberation war, it primarily consisted of two storied houses. The founder of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, lived and was assassinated in Dhanmondi, along with most of his family, in 1975.

A busy intersection which connects Ryayerbazar with Dhanmondi. Mothijeel/Mohammadpur bound busses pass through this point. It remains super busy during the morning time when shchool/office bound commuters start their journey. Also it gets busy at the evening time.

A typical small and crowded Dhaka bus stop with no facilities. There's no shade or waiting area, no noticeboards. You have to queue in the road and get on board when the bus comes.
