Jahangirnagar University is a public university in Bangladesh , based in Savar Upazila . It is the only fully residential university in Bangladesh.
The university was established in 1970 by the Jahangirnagar Muslim University Ordinance of the government of Pakistan .The first group of students, a total of 150, were enrolled in four departments: Economics, Geography, Mathematics, and Statistics.

Education quality is also good and it is one of the beautiful and biggest campus of Bangladesh.

One of the well known public university in Bangladesh.

This university was established in 1970 by the Jahangirnagar Muslim University Ordinance of the government of Pakistan.

The university stands on the west side of the Asian Highway, popularly known as the Dhaka-Aricha Road, and is 32 kilometres away from the capital. Spread over an area of 697.56 acres (2.8 km²).

With fifteen residential halls (and more under construction), Jahangirnagar University is mandated to provide residential accommodation to every student with separate halls for the female students. Each hall has its own administration system headed by a provost and is equipped with facilities such as playgrounds, rooms for indoor games, dining halls etc.

The Tennis Court of the Teacher's Club of Jahangirnagar University Teacher's Club. Membership only, but you can play if you have friends in the club. The court is situated in the middle of the Teacher's Club and Bachelor's Quarters. The ground is North South facing. Thus players in the Northern Court enjoy the Southern Breeze. Flood lights available at night. All in all a good court. A good place to work out and socialize.

Jahangirnagar University was formally launched on 12 January 1970 under the Jahangirnagar Muslim University Ordinance, 1970 and this day is observed as University Day. It's the only university having fully residential facility. The university is highly popular among people due to it's natural beauty, trees, natural serenity & tranquility. The university has a good reputation for quality education, cultural activities & many more reasons. It's a good university.
