It's fine and comfortable if you are on a cruise ship, because paying the ticket, you'll get the free shuttle bus to come back to the terminal. The food it very nice, the drinks nothing special, being in the Caribbean, but using only artificial fruit juices seems stupid. And also I think is not fear for crew members from the ships, they paid the same than normal tourist, but get less benefits and they have to pay extra for excursions, or drinks.

Lots of really cool activities such as Jet Skiing and Snorkelling. If you go further up the beach toward the Radisson, there are some good spots to snorkel with lots of fish and coral near the shore (so you don't have to go on an excursion). The bar is good, the toilets are clean, and the sunbeds are reasonably priced.

Owner of the Boatyard have got it spot on. Everything in one place for a reasonable price. Lockers, drink, sunbed, umbrella, basketball hoops, clean toilets and snorkelling. Plus bar with plenty of choice and a restaurant with a good choice of food. Mayo with coconut chicken was delicious.
    We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Boatyard on two occasions. The beach is extremely nice with a nice feature of the pier going out in to the sea complete with rope swing and diving platforms. The atmosphere is awesome with friendly staff and good food and drink. Recommend being there for the free shots just after lunch 😉

Great atmosphere, drinks, and people. Lots of water activities you can do so spending a day here is never boring. Wasn't crowded at all when my family went, the earlier you come the better chance you have of getting a good chair and umbrella spot. No rocks at all in the water or shore, just that beautiful white sand. One of the best beaches I've ever been to.

This is a popular hangout for the cruise ship crowd during their stay in Barbados. It's actually a pretty nice setup that gives you great beach access with chairs and umbrella, good bar, food, music and lots of stuff to do. Highly recommended

A great place to spend the day. Great atmosphere, beautiful beach with lovely white sand. Kids had great fun too out on the water trampoline inflatables etc entrance includes sunbed, beer or cocktail a snorkeling trip to the shipwreck to swim amongst the lovely fish & if it you're lucky turtles too & the Minibus back. Would highly recommend.

This is the best deal on the beach! $20 admission gets you a chair, a drink (including beer), use of all facilities/pier/water rafts, a snorkel trip to see turtles & a shipwreck, and a ride back to the cruise ship port! The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, and the facilities are very clean. I recommend getting there early, because they will sell out of chairs if it gets too full! A must do in Bridgetown!

I always adore going to the boat yard, it is always kept clean by people visiting the beach and also the staff. There is always plenty to do here :) and the staff are also mega friendly. Don't be caught in aware with the strength of the rum punch even though it's pre made its still pretty strong. One of my fave places in the world :)

My fiancé and I had a TERRIBLE experience here. Such a shame too because the place has a lot of potential. The venue itself is fine, they’ve got chairs, cabanas, tables with umbrellas, a boat for snorkel tours, and a nice bar. It’s the staff and the rules that made our visit so horrible.
So we paid $40 to get into the boatyard. The woman at the front had an accent that was hard to understand when coupled with the loud music and her fast speaking, it was hard to catch everything she was saying. Anyway we got our included soda and ordered food from the bar. At this point we had given $75 to the Boatyard. The female bartender was quite rude, impatient, not attentive or communicative. The two guys working were nice though. The food was well enough, standard and what you’d expect from a beachside bar, sandwiches, fries, hamburgers, etc. All was well for the first hour or so. We knew we had a ride back included in our wristband purchase so we foolishly decided to spend our last $40 cash to ride the wave runners that were RIGHT NEXT TO THE BOATYARD. That was our critical mistake. As we walked back to our chairs after the ride, a Boatyard employee approaches us and tells us we broke the rules by riding the wave runners due to some reason with insurance and we had to take our wristbands off and exit through the back entrance. He said we were informed of this rule upon entering. I explained we must have misunderstood the woman at the front and that I had even asked a boatyard employee how much the wave runners were and he answered me without giving any warning of the consequences. He, becoming more rude and irritated, said it didn’t matter we needed to leave immediately. At this point I don’t care about staying, I’m worried about a ride back to our ship. I asked him to let us just leave and take the included transportation back to the ship as we have no money to get back. He shrugged and said ask a driver to stop at an ATM. So that’s what we ended up doing, and thank goodness we made it back to the ship safe and sound. But that experience at the Boatyard completely put a damper on our day in Barbados.

Been here a few times.. 20 dollar admission gets you a free beer or soft drink. A boat ride Inclusive of snorkel and life jacket to visit two sites, turtles and then a ship wreck to look at the tropical fish. Afterwards they provide a free shuttle back to the cruise terminal not bad for $20..
oh and the food isn't bad either ..😎

Well worth the $20 entrance and $4.00 cab fare to get there. Don't judge by the exterior as you enter it opens up to silky sand and blue turquoise water. Free snorkelling come with your entrance along with one free drink!

One of the most enjoyable beach facilities in Barbados, definitely recommend to locals and visitors. $25US to enter, $20 of which goes towards your tab. This allows you access to the facility (beach, beach chair, drinks, food etc) as well as swim with the turtles.

Want to party? The ambience at this location is perfection! Of all my memories in Barbados, this location takes me back 15 years and I keep coming back to visit every time. The drinks from the bar aren't the best but if you are in good company you WILL have a GREAT time as the music sets the mood.

Fun tourist spot. It's worth the price though of 50 bbd and you get 40 of that $ in credit at the bar. They also have a great private catamaran tour with some great staff. (Ben and Gregory)

Pretty nice place. If you stay on the island you pay 25$usd. That includes a 20$usd meal and drink credit so it's a pretty good deal. Also swimming with the turtles was fun. I saw 5 turtles on each 30 minute trip I went on.

If you like a crowded beach this is for you. The brief turtle excursion was fun. Free drink and a ride back to port is included in your $20 admittance fee. Food was good. Only downfall was the number of people

This has to be the best beach bar in the whole wide world. The staff and management make you feel so welcome and pride themselves on customer service, you pay $50 for entry $40 you redeem back at the bar on food or drinks , the choice is yours.
Also they have a wide range of activities for all to partake in, also swimming with the turtles (which can cost you anything from $50-150 if you was to go elsewhere).
And the have a very wide range of loungers beach beds and chairs and umbrellas for us to use
It's also a very safe environment as there is a lot of security to make us customers feel safe
If your in Barbados I recommend you visit here.
    It's very clean as well

Quite cringe but actually good value compared to other beaches everything you need is there. Fine for a day. Tutltes great if you get on a quiet boat. Hard to get chairs early but the place soon empties in the afternoon. Iced Coffee cocktails good.
