    3 1/2 stars.
If smaller, quiet & intimate setting is your thing, this is the place for you. Clean. Good food. Beach is o.k. a little rockydecent surfing.
In every respect, Could use tweaks here and there to make it a perfect score. For example, meals were regimented to a time. If you wanted a snack inbetwen breakfast and lunchyou were s.o.l. another example is the gym was good but there wasn't any water or towels.
All in all very good place but again a slight tweak here and there will improve the rating.

This is an amazing place great food if u want to eat indoors or lounge by the pool next to Drifter's Restaurant where u can enjoy buffet style locsl cuisine. Destress in the Spa or get something from the Souvenir shop to remember your visit. Friendly and helpful staff, great place to stay.

Just a few hours stopover, in transit. By the beach, good facilities and swimming for children. Restaurant was OK, but we only had light lunch. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Main building old style colonial, with good modern accommodation to rear.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. If you pack some premium toiletries you will find little fault with your stay. Check-In is 24 hours in spite of what is said online.

We have had two holidays here and hope to be able to go again. The rooms are kept beautifully clean as is the entire resort. Food and drink is available virtually any time of day or evening and caters for every taste. Food preparation is to the highest standard. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. We had entertainment just about every evening, singers, dancers, musicians, even limbo dancers..all very good. The beach is lovely with plenty of sun beds but for swimming you really need to walk a couple of minutes along the beach away from the reef. 30 minute walk into Bridgetown or 5 mins by bus or taxi for the big shops but plenty of local stores if you want them. All in all this place really cannot be faulted.

Great staff who are very accommodating. The desserts are lovely too. The elevator is breath taking - literally - the stairs is a better option!!!!

Frist time in Barbados and staying at this hotel was really magical the staff were all hands on ready to help and when they were issues there were sorted out with in minutes. The beach was walking distance from our room with a outstanding beach bar. Definitely would book the same hotel again next time I go

It is amazing. The water is lovely for small kids cause the rocks allow you to walk in deeper. I found some of the staff favoured white people but other than that the service was great. Just becareful around Christmas as Rachel's gets fully booked.

Nice hotel at the beach in quiet location . I like it the way it is well maintained and clean. Not only in the room but all areas like the restaurants and outdoor. Would recommend and most probably stay next time.

Lovely boutique hotel right on the beach. The beach is rough though and has no sandy areas to swim. It's rubble and coral stone.

It's got 2 pools which are 3ft 6 in deep throughout. Nice to sit and chat but not deep enough for swimming. There are some sunbeds round one pool and on the beach under the trees.

The hotel is all inclusive. The fridge on the room is not stocked so drinks only available in drifters by the beach and Rachel bar up top.

Lots of steps over 5 floors. Walkways are not all covered if it rains you get wet.

Good basic hotel. Lots of children there when we came in October 17 although not school holidays.

Free day trip to Coca cabana club on Thursday and Sunday on Carlisle Bay. Well worth the trip for a nice beach and sunbed.

Rooms well appointed staff friendly as is the Barbados way.

Lovely tabby cat by security to feed. Hope hotel looks after her. The hotel needs a feline care program. Happy to donate to the cause.

Payed extra vip well worth it and u have the use of the vip decking which could do with a repaint but lovely waiter comes and offers u whatever u want. Mini bar gets filled up each day with large bottles ๐Ÿ˜Š x
Great selection of food choose to eat in the restaurant u must book well in advance however to eat in the bar was perfect for us. Great night life always something happening but not to noisy if your in your room.
Drinks are watered down so could and did drink all day.
    Friendly hard working staff. Clean
Beach water is a little rocky but just a short drive to the boat yard which the water is amazing

Having read other reviews I was wondering about this hotel, but this hotel is lovely. The staff all work so hard to make your stay good. Nothing is too much trouble. Would love to come back.

Quiet hotel good for couples. Pool is small, beach is stony. Food ok, oriental restaurant is nicest. Got very bored with breakfast after 2 weeks , little variety. Not much evening entertainment and no day time activities so if you're looking for an active hotel this isn't for you but great if you just want peace and quiet and to chill by the pool or sea. No fighting for sunloungers, rooms are big and have good air con. Towels only changed twice a week to protect the coral reef, yeah right, to save money more like but I don't change towels at home twice a week so that was not a problem, apart from beach towels which could have done with changing a but more often.

Had my wedding here a week ago. Honeymoon stay was great aside from unfriendly staff and not knowing much about where to get dinner, times.. etc beforehand. It was okay because of how the wedding coordination was handled. The event coordinators completely messed up from the start - so unprofessional. Probably wouldn't recommend here to anyone. Thankfully family members stepped in to assist; it might not have been as successful as it was. Anyway the honeymoon room was nice, pool time was great. Customer service could be better.
