My wife and I had a great time surfing with these guys! It was extremely easy to contact Jay and get a lesson booked. He always answered emails within an hour. The lesson itself was great, they had us up on our boards surfing in no time. The location of the lesson was also beautiful and there were sea turtles everywhere. They could not have done a better job. They even mount a GoPro to the board and give you videos of you surfing. To sum it up i could not have been more impressed!

I had a great surf lesson with the knowledgeable team who maximised time in the water and helped me pick the right waves and gave me a push and told me when to stand up. Friendly staff arranged a pick up from the post office. A great surf school - having the boards in the afternoon was nice to go back to.

Great experience with 3 lessons and a week-long rental package.

I was shocked to see so many amazing reviews prior to meeting Jay and his group for our Surf Lessons! I thought “could this really be true perfect scores by everyone?” but now I totally understand! You couldn’t get a better group to teach you how to surf! They are totally on the ball. They had rash guards for us, perfect suited boards for each of our sizes, carried our boards even when our hands were free and I offered to help! They had bottled water for us when done and really took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. They were always right with us at all times to make sure we were safe and had a great time. They were patient, kind and went well beyond what I had ever expected. Listen to these reviews and book with Ride the Tide Surf School I promise you will be writing a review just like this one! Ace session for my 9yr old daughter and I yesterday - waves were pretty small, but that worked in our favour, since were both pretty new to surfing.
Jay was great at helping us start catching the waves right away.
The GoPro videos are a fab bonus too, caught a great one of us together on a 'party wave'!
Hope to catch another session with Jay again before we head home, and would definitely recommend Ride the Tide.

I’m lucky enough to travel here with work and I surf with Jay and Noah from Ride The Tide whenever possible, sometimes that might mean 5am or 4pm fitting around my work schedule. Jay is really accommodating and always makes sure you get the best waves wherever they might be for your ability.
I’ve been surfing with them for 5 years and I always have a smile on my face the entire time I’m out on the water.
The guys are professional and fun and it’s obvious they love what they do, it shows.
They catch all your fun on a GoPro camera which they then send to your email address, also included in the price.
They are the best, probably the best I’ve had from around the World if I’m honest.

Great surfschool! Great instructors! They always know where the waves are. I started surfing with them. That was a few years back and I still rent boards from them every time I get there. One of the best surf schools in one of the best surfing locations in the world. I'd say that's a pretty high accolade for Ride the Tide. Truly an amazing 8 days with Jay and Noah. I improved significantly and I owe it to their patience and encouragement. They are so much fun to be around and they really make surfing in Barbados worth while for a newbie. If you want to learn to surf, want to improve or just rent a board; get on a flight to Barbados and check these guys out.

Amazing! They've got great equipment, they know how to be on time, their surf skills and teaching is second to none and they're good fun. The pictures and videos of your surfing they share with you is a really good too and totally unexpected.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to learn to surf or renta surfboard and I will be using them again to help me with my surfing.

Such a great day out. Jay and his team are amazing! They tailor where and how you surf to your ability, making sure you catch as many waves as possible. They are super friendly and make it a fantastic morning. I have been out with them a couple of times already and most definitely will be back.

Can't recommend these guys enough! I had such a great lesson with Jay and Noah that I booked to go again the next day! Both times they managed to fit me in with very little notice. They utilise the whole island to make sure that you get the best waves on the best beaches. I will definitely go out again with Ride The Tide Surf School next time I'm in Barbados!

Awesome week of surf lessons with Jay.

Always enthusiastic and professional - emphasis on personal progression, building confidence, technique and having fun - not large groups. Really diligent in taking you to where the surf is actually good and suitable to your level not just the closest spot.

Large selection of good quality well maintained equipment. You will also get well looked after with water, merchandise and if you need it the odd plaster too.

Best experience ever! Jay and Noah are so friendly, patient, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the island and they definitely know all of the best surf spots for beginners and experts!! I highly recommend them to EVERYONE who is looking for somewhere to surf in Barbados.
